Quote: waaa...quit your whining...i went to riddle and 3 yrs after graduation i was in a purple jet...although i did not go thru the riddle flight program i did get a solid education otherwise...i took advantage of the contacts and friendships i made and started a great career...my buds who went there and did the same are at all the majors or have great corporate jobs...the whiners we knew all sell t-shirts on A1A...yes there are cocky losers who come out of riddle and every other school...so if your career sucks..blame yourself...
Boy, that sure clears up alot about your personality.

Yeah, that he represents the 10/15% of ERAU grads that instead of whining about how terrible ERAU was, made the most out of their college experience and is now enjoying the fruits of their hard work and dedication.
Some how this thread makes this come to my mind. (Mommy he called me a name and hurt my feelings. *sniff * sniff) Grow some balls dude.
I was instructing at ERAU during my last couple years of college and after I graduated. Some people liked it, and some didn't. Some were cocky, some were humble. Some were American, and some were foreigh. JUST LIKE EVERYWHERE ELSE!!! Yes, Riddle isn't like the average state school with the football team and the other "perks". So? You should feel embarassed because you spent that money and you regret it. Makes you look dumb. I probably spent the same amount of money, but I don't regret going to Riddle. I don't regret the contacts, experiences, education and anything else I got that came from there. I loved instructing there until I wanted to leave. I didn't leave right after graduation because I liked what I was doing and instructed for a bit longer. Because I made the most of out it, I don't regret it. Make the best of it, or go complain to Jerry Springer and tell them it was your parent's fault for making you stay. Just like with EVERY other degree and EVERY other college.

I know just as many people who went to high school with me that later went to cheap state schools like Univ of FL or expensive schools like Yale and they complain just as much while they move back in with their parents after graduation. Only difference is that you live, and breath aviation and this school is just that....... aviation/aerospace only.

As for 3000 hr CFI.. nobody within 50 miles of Daytona thinks that 3000 hours in a SE airplane is hot stuff. Anyone thinking that is crazy. Some people are there that can't get a green card, others came back from the airlines and want to instruct. Some don't want to go to the airlines, so they stay.

My 2 cents......
so many of the 3000 hr pilots want to leave but can't. also riddle probaly has the only flight instructor union. not everyone wants to go to the airlines, they want to got fly corporate, so they stay and get there multi time up and total time as well and may even get there ATP then apply to the corporate world. also riddle has some of the best benifits that are around. Riddle is one of the best places to work. I graduated from there and know how expensive that school is and have all of the student loans to prove it. You are one of the ones that was expecting to make the big bucks once you graduated from riddle. everyone has to pay there dues, in order to work there way to the big time. its people like you that had everything handed to them and never had to work and earn your on money and now that your out of your parents house you see how the real world is. why don't you stop whining, you are the type of person that gives riddle a bad name. you were the one that ****ed a way his loan money and know its time to pay it back you can't and you thought that it was going to be easy.......grow some balls, suck it up, eat roman noodles, and what your turn and stop whining about riddle.

its the rich a*****es how parents pay for everything and don't work or even know how to work, drive cars that are worht more than 2 yrs tuition. the stuck up snobs that leave riddle are the ones that think that they are entiltled to everything, because they went to riddle. these are the ones that give it a bad name.

there are many people who want to fly big airplanes sometime in there life. the work hard in school, they know that when they leave that they will have 140,000-180,000 in loans when they leave, but they know that by hard work and sacafice that they can get it paid off in 10-15 years.

again suck it, up, and grow some balls...........
why can't a 3000hr pilot leave?
Quote: why can't a 3000hr pilot leave?
3000 hrs SE C-172 time is not valuable without ME time.
Without any ME time they are stuck.

Fortunately, ATP has a new program where they can transition as commercial rated pilots to airline pilots for 25K. Why not? They already have 140K+ in debt. Whats another 25K? No regrets.
