The proposed tariff at this preliminary stage is more of an "incentive to negotiate" I think.
Time for Ed to make a field trip to Canada and Northern Ireland (or entertain guests from these countries).
RA would probably try the "take no prisoners" approach..
--Canada cancels big order of Boeing fighter AC
--Bombardier and Delta negotiate transfer of C series order to one of DAL's partially owned subsiiaries.
--DAL places massive order with Airbus and makes it known they are done dealing with Boeing.
--PR campaign on the shortcomings of Boeing's products for this role while continuing legal appeal avenues.
This will be a pretty big "at bat" for Ed, it will be interesting to see how he handles it.
