Quote: Sideshow’s grand theory of the company holding out on expansion in prediction of a recession in the near future isn’t exactly rocket science, many indicators and economists opinions to support this theory. If his theory comes to fruition, UPS will be sitting in a rather good position and it might even prevent possible furloughs if the recession is deep enough.
This is your first mistake, listening to that self proclaimed maestro, regarded by the B&G crowd as a resident expert. M got it right, he is a D Bag of the first caliber. I wish like other resident experts, who have nothing better to live for then boasting their own ego of the bar and grill, he would take a cup of shut the F up. So tired of his diatribe and personal insights.

I personally find Sideshow entertaining and usually spot on when it comes to how ups makes decisions.

Expectation Zero and you will never be disappointed.

Quote: No, ***not as long as you brown cool aid drinkers are making this place the end all and be all of the aviation world.
You are quick to publically expose people here. I'd be surprised if that wasnt a violation of the rules on this forum. At the very least you should expose your own name to level the playing field.

Doxxing is in fact a violation of APC forum rules.

However, that isn’t FTFF’s name.

Can you please elaborate why someone should choose employment with FedEx, Delta or others over UPS? What is/are the reason(s) you’re trying to convey that makes this place an undersirsble career option? Also note that this isn’t a loaded question — I’m genuinely wondering why, in your opinion, people should avoid UPS at all costs?

Look man, this thread is for potential new guys and folks who aren’t familiar with express cargo flying to help them with career decisions. Is it too much to ask to just show them a little respect by keeping the commentary indicative of someone who is college educated earning a quarter of a million a year plus? If you feel you got a valid argument then articulate and elaborate your position. The rest of us are just trying to help people out - show a little professional respect.

Guys hired 2014/2015 are sitting pretty now after 3-4 years. When this new bid’s training is finished (by Jan 19’) they are going to be sitting at around 50% on pretty much everything in SDF with a possible upgrade around the corner for some of the first hires, assuming the status quo continues. Maybe someone could reach out to their friends at the other carriers and see how 2014-15 hires compare with us on a fleet seniority basis? From my perspective it ain’t stagnant at all and with the mandatory retirements coming up the trend looks to continue. Agree it’s never going to be a 1 year upgrade place but with FO pay as high as it is does that really matter? I wouldn’t upgrade anytime soon even if I could.
