Just had an interview 2weeks ago. Sim gouge was spot on. Did mine in the 757. Very nice instructor. He was a retired 747 Captain. I wasn’t able to do any sim prep due to my schedule, but would recomend doing so especially if you dont do any raw data flying. Then went to brake room hung out while they looked over my paperwork and logbooks. I had added some nice graphs in my logbook split up by power characteristics, class and time in various a/c types. Received a compliment on the graphs. They also commented on me having all my paperwork correct.
Next was the hr interview with a very nice HR lady and another retired 747 Captain. They made me feel very at ease. Just a casual conversation. No oddball questions. I really enjoyed the experience.
Now just waiting for a class date.

Interviewed mid April.
...
I was not selected and it’s my fault, I know what I did wrong and could’ve done better. My advice... make sure you have nothing else going on in your life. You want to devote all your time preparing.
How I got the interview....
Two yrs ago I went to the Vegas FAPA fair in April and spoke with DT, didn’t pass the Hogan. Last Jan I filled out a new online UPS App and a month later automatically got the Hogan. Passed it in late Feb, Spoke with Mr Parker in early March Interviewed mid April.
34yrs old, 7000 hrs, 2000 Turb PIC, 4yr Degree, Flight Instructed, flew Part-135 gigs during the recession BankChecks/Courier stuff and Cargo prior to my current Regional.
Heading to an AMCI next month getting an MD-11 type with hopes of trying again or getting Purple’s attention.
Question to those in the UPS loop: Is it one interview attempt only and that’s it? Or can one try again in a year?
Hope this was informative
Stay well y’all

You seem to have a great attitude and it’s really cool of you trying to help others even though you must be very disappointed with your TBNT result.
I think going to an acmi is the right thing to do and yes, we have plenty of pilots who interviewed several times before they’re hired. I believe you have to wait one year but I’ve also heard 6 months? Not sure..
Hope to see you in ugly brown pants one of these days. Wish you the very best.

Hey guys. So I've heard internal recommendations are great even if they are from family. I am not sure if it is true or if it will help, but my brother is a package truck driver for UPS. Would it help if he gave me a letter and is there a way for him to do any type of internal rec? Thanks for the input.

Your brother might be able to send a regular letter to the HR but personally I doubt it’d help.

T-6 Texan II SE Turboprop on App?
Long time UPS thread reader first time poster. I was updating my app today and when I went to update my hours the system auto populated T-6 Texan II as an option for flight time history. I had previously left this aircraft off the application since it is a single engine turboprop and the application states the following:
"List all fixed-wing jet aircraft and all fixed-wing multi-engine turboprop aircraft flown up to a maximum of twelve aircraft."
Are any of the other mil guys on the forum adding this aircraft? I've always just tried to follow the directions perfectly on airline apps - does anybody think I should include the 117 hours in this airplane or leave it as is? Thanks for the help.
