Customer Service rep called the State Police on customer trying to report a damaged bag, and improper treatment by CS reps.

Hopefully, these Customer Service reps can get retrained and improve things for their airline in the future.

What’s that old saying about stories? There are three sides to every one...side A, side B and the truth. Good on you for getting fired up for 1/3 of what happened here Cliff.

How long was she going to stand there demanding a name and phone number? I really hate people!

To bash someone else’s airline, one side of the story is enough.

I just read the first six or so comments by the public on this story...they ALL went something like this one:

I'm a manager in a large corporation. Although I'm really not involved in customer relations occasionally I get called to intervene in customer complaints. I have to say I would be absolutely furious if one of my employees refused to call me when a customer asked. These people need to know the only reason they have a job is because they have customers. I'm not saying the customer is always right, but an attempt must be made to investigate and resolve their issues when they arise. I personally would suspend everyone involved .

I don’t hate people but I did read the comments section of the article and watched the video. I have noticed a growing trend to people taking video of everything and customer service agents or flight attendants being on the defensive. It’s just sad. The woman should have her bag fixed and the customer service agent should have been courteous.
I dislike people wanting to take video of everything which makes people especially in the airline industry take a defensive stance because their face and name is out there when they had no choice. I don’t agree how the CSA treated the customer nor do I agree with everything being on video these days.
I rather like the story of the Capt buying pizzas in witicha falls, tx. That is definitely a story that truly shows how we act as people.

I agree, customer service is paramount. But............

.......in this day and age of EVERYONE filming something, we ONLY see what they taped. Not unlike when the DAL CA went back to talk to the girl that was "flying while black", or Dr. (dinky) Dao.

We simply don't know EVERYTHING that transpired. She could have been completely rude and aggressive to the agents from the get go, when that didn't work she got out her phone and started taping while taking on a calmer demeanor, etc.
