Quote: Acknowledge nothing, deny everything, make counter accusations! This was memorized by everyone that he taught the 727 Jurassic Jet. Great phrase for aviation.
23 years ago, as a newly minted DC-8 Second Officer (FE for you young'uns) I was told when I hit the line, "If you are summoned to go see the plastic airplane collection, there are three things to remember and in this order:

1) Deny all knowledge.

2) Make counter accusations.

3) If all else fails.... lie.

Another oldy but goody,

"You push to test, you twist to dim. And don't you never touch nothing you don't know what it does."

Quote: The one main thing to remember is that someone else, not OAI management in TUL, calls the shots now and controls the purse strings. No matter what you may think personally about Omni's future viability (I agree with your sentiments), the new management could decide otherwise. An acquisition can lead to many things---merger, conversion to cargo from passenger, downsizing, fleet make-over and even receivership. There's just no way to tell, and essentially all OAI pilots are along for the ride.

I see that Abex is IBT1221, but ATI is Alpa. Both of those companies now pay less than OAI; a future CBA could be at issue with any disparities between wholly-owned subsidiaries.
Yes...that is the whole argument the ABX guys have with ATI who settled for a crappy contract that the ABX crews refuse to. And it is the threshold that they are trying to force on us. Horible work rules, disability, vacation slide etc. Hete loves to whipsaw and threaten to move aircraft and furlough for non compliance. Now please don't everyone wig out for me saying that. I am not predicting the future just past practice. Example we went on strike for 3 items the company was violating in the contract while in status quo...we won and the company paid hugh amounts to the pilot group. After Hete said as a penalty...no more aircraft for the Amazon flying ATI will get the aircraft originally planned for ABX. But hey....this is aviation. He might announce tomorrow he just ordered 10 brand new 777s for OMNI...again for a few of you, don't panic and think I am saying any of this will happen to you. Just 25+ years around the puppet master.

So? If that’s how they get their misinformation too, so be it.

Funny enough, that’s how I was told to argue with the wife if I ever get into trouble
