Quote: Where can you hold a line quicker? ORD or DEN?
Anywhere but ORD, basically. But like someone has mentioned, that could change.

Quote: There were actually 3 fairly junior LAS FO spots that opened up on this latest vacancy due to movement and upgrades.
Maybe I read the vacancy bid wrong. I will have to go back and check the bid sheet. Lots of movement here. EDIT: PulledBreaker is correct, 3 vacancies for LAS FO.

Hey everyone, can anyone tell me how long it may be to get ORD? I am a new hire in the May class and I've heard through the grapevine that some people are getting ORD right away from training. If I don't get it I'm wondering how long it may be before being able to transfer. Also are the bids for a base transfer monthly? Thanks in advance everyone.

Yes some of the senior people in the last class got ORD as their first assignment. But if not it’s likely to be awarded before you hit the line as long as upgrades keep happening.

And yes, new vacancies are being awarded (for now) monthly so every month has been the opportunity to attempt to get a new base. Also read the contract with regards to domicile trade, it’s outside the realm of normal vacancies. It happens every July.

If it becomes available prior to 0930 the day prior to report time then yes, it must be put in open time or the PAF. If it becomes available after that, it can be assigned to a reserve without being placed in open time.

Ok thanks.....
Would have been great for an MCO commuter...

Why do we have Agressive Reserve if reserves can pickup open time. Lineholders should have access to that folder.

What am I missing?

Agreed, V1.....I’m finding out that the opening of Open Time to reserves + end of VJA = end of easy add flying after MOT. It seems nuts to me that you still block out Line Holders the day prior after 930LDT.....it’s like CS wants to use their reserves rather than leg liners access trips.....

Mark my words.....this will bite CS HARD in any type of > day IROP or other System disruption......
