Thanks for the replies. In future winter seasons if I witness a GoJet crew skip the deice pad with ice/frost on the top of the wing I will raise my concerns immediately with the crew to the point of leaving my seat and knocking on the flight deck door during taxi.

Be sure to scream “alluah akbar.” Pretty sure it means “your wings are iced up.” Code language so the passengers remain calm.
