Given the overall hiring climate in the airline industry, do any of you G4 pilots see a significant pay raise in the next contract negotiation? Do you think management will budge on pay rates if G4 becomes too much of a revolving door on the lower half of the seniority list? Do you see any influence from the other ULCC pay rates on G4's rates? Im interested in G4 because it would be a good QOL job since I'm moving near SAV in two weeks, and looking to stay there for good.

My personal hope is that we focus on fixing the work rules, and other massive “gaps” in our contract. Yeah a few more bucks would be ok, but what’s a few more bucks if the bottom 2/3s get boned. Not to mention not having a good PBS system on property.

Better language on the next contract, as well as any language regarding TDYs, VBDs, Reserve call outs, and a mountain of shjt that apparently the last negotiators missed to even put in the contract.

Management has never had a problem handing out industry average or better pay rates in the past, which now top out around 275. It's the work rules/soft pay that will take a few years to negotiate IMO. It's been hard to get a min day rig since the business model/utilization is different from the rest of the industry but with the highest profit margins in the country I don't see that as valid logic.

Yes, I believe there will be a significant pay bump on the next CBA. After that? Who knows, I think the airlines in general will be pretty close to topped out once the next round of legacy contracts goes through.

I also agree that work rules will be a huge factor in the next negotiation. Plenty of holes to fill!

Fairly certain that the bottom of the list won't be a revolving door anytime soon. If junior guys didn't bail over the last 18 months when EVERYONE was hiring but us, then they probably won't bail when we start growing again. Our business model doesn't exist anywhere else. Most people who just want a type rating and bounce will (probably) go to higher paying, more commutable airlirelines.

Hey all. The TA .pdf that I have from 2016 shows top-out CA pay at DOS+5 of 232.00. The APC profile is currently on DOS+3. Im new here, and I'm looking to verify the accuracy of the 275 number above to try and paint the most accurate picture for making a move to Allegiant from another ULCC. Thanks a lot.

He's saying that is what the industry top out rates look like. Not what Allegiant currently has but what realistically what it might look like given a new CBA.

Ah, makes sense, thanks.

Might be a bit of a tacky question...

How reliable is the profit sharing? APC shows 10% in 2015, but that’s old news. Any updates or trends?

It is most definitely not 10%. It has been completely revamped into a performance based bonus that is also tied into profit sharing. We met every metric this time and had some of the highest profit margins that we have seen and it is about 7.5% of our income. The last round, we only hit half the metrics, and it was less than 3%. I certainly would not count that as a planned part of your income.

Solid advice, but of course. Extra is extra. Just curious, as I know there has been frustration over at Blue over theirs. Thanks!
