Everybody being converted to SCR is a win in my book. Less chance of me working. Thanks crew scheduling!

I hate this place.
You know what’s worse than having to work when you have to work on Tuesday... when you sign up for an RSA and then you have to work! I hate that! I thought they were just supplementing the reserve availability. Literally doesn’t say anything about working in it.

Yep. Glad to not see any DH trips to jfk pop up today.

How is it going up there?

Quote: Rabid,

I can't help you. I'm sorry you that you're so upset with the CBA that you chose to take it out on me by insulting me. I hope you find what you're looking for by either actively volunteering in ALPA (particularly the negotiating or scheduling committee, or packing up and moving to a place that has better LCR language.)

Read the above exchanges. You said "No Language. No Restrictions." Both of those are completely false and I simply provided the reference to prove this. There is clear language, and clear restrictions. I stated we are paid $100, without any personal opinion on the matter. Your response is to insult me by calling me cheap, and then postulating questions all based on this premise. I refuse to answer any such questions.

I am, in fact, based in JFK. I just finished four days of LCR in which I flew a four-day trip. I have a 12 day block forthcoming. I anticipate being changed to SCR. It's in the contract, it's stated the company can do it, the company runs relatively short all the time, so I won't be surprised. I live locally, so it really doesn't affect me greatly. If I commuted, I would be more upset, but again, it's contractual. Perhaps, if I commuted, I would vocalize the lack of more definitive language regarding transitions from LCR to SCR to my negotiating committee in the upcoming CBA surveys regarding CBA 2022. Ideally, the monetary compensation for the conversion should cover the cost of a hotel/commuting. And the language should limit it to when the SCR reserve coverage reaches a critical threshold that is readily transparent to all on LCR.

Some things to think about.
-From someone who actively has volunteered within ALPA to better his pilot group's CBA.
I apologize for the 'cheap' label, although, I would consider the 'picture with Joanna ' more offensive.

I would prefer a 'trigger event' that causes the mass conversion of all LCRs. ( notice how the company doesn't have to deal with the LCR conversion/seniority, 25.R.4.e.iv, issue when you convert everyone? Less work and no restrictions) Yes, the company finally published, at 0300 this morning, an Operations Advisory, but it came after the coversions and we all know this company can't plan 2 hours ahead. Or maybe we 'hired' some new interns?

When chatting with my fellow reserve colleagues, I'm just getting tired of our answers always being ' I guess they can do that'.

Good luck out there.
