For those wondering how LCR is working out:

Irop level 2...nope.
Irop level 1...nope.
Use caution when commuting tomorrow...nope.
Operational Advisory...nope.

It's a Tuesday and Short call RSVs were in the green and no forecast of (actual) snow, yet...

ALL Long Call RSVs in BOS and JFK converted to Short Call for 'Operational need'.

Some seats increased by 25 pilots ( guessing over a 90% increase) just for the day.

No language. No restrictions.

Meanwhile in FLL I’ve only been assigned 3 trips in 6 weeks on LCR.

I was waiting for them to figure out that it’s cheaper for scheduling to do this with approaching weather, then to call a bunch of last minute VDA’s when half the reserve list is still on LCR. I wasn’t expecting them to convert everyone though.

Between irop mass-LCR-conversions, 150% open time, etc... if VDA becomes a shadow of it's former self, I wonder if a certain segment of the population will finally be ready to fight next round.

So $100 satisfies you when the company ARBITRARILY transitions LCR to SCR? It was during the DRO.

You are correct with the CBA reference, but does it really matter when the company transitions EVERYBODY without a reason?

You are obviously not JFK or BOS based because EVERYBODY got transitioned to SCR.

Is $100 enough for the reserve who's on for 6-16 days to commute in and wait even though there was no advisory given? And really no opentime?


Reserve grid was in the green for all reserves where I am. I could have dropped/ swapped a day up until 0259. I was expecting RSVs to get 'last day released' for tomorrow, but no, the company ARBITRARILY decided to lock everyone in.

I'm guessing you consider yourself 'winning' when you see $300 in your paycheck under the nighttime overide? I look forward to seeing your picture at the next ' JoAnna meet-and-greet'.

Without a reason you say...I’m flying today and it looks like JFK will be on one Runway later with close to 3 hr delays ( snow too). Bos similarly will have snow and an impactful delay program.

I saw days out that Tues ( today) would be a mess. Anybody could have seen it coming.

Except they should’ve done it last month too a couple times, especially when that bomb cyclone storm came through. Someone must’ve told them you can convert 40 LCR’s and come out even if you avoid calling just 1 Captain on VDA.
