It’s a new rule. Not getting released early. Now once you hit 75 hours they have to pay you 4 and change for every rsv day you have left in the month or release you as soon as you hit 75 hours and give them a call.

I think I'm not understanding this correctly, if they don't release you then they pay you the 4hrs and change for each rsv day left for the month right? But wouldn't they pay you that anyway since you'll be at work (cuz you're not released) and you don't work for free?

Or is it 4hrs and change pay on top of the days you have left in the month you work?

Let’s assume you flew 75hrs of credit in the month already and have 1 RSV day remaining. On that last single RSV day you didn’t get called and just sat SCL.

Under old conditions you wouldn’t have been paid anything more than 75hrs for the month. Under new CBA you can call and they chose to either remove you from that last day or you get paid 4:12 on top of your existing credit for the month, so you’d get 79:12 total pay even if you didn’t fly.

I am familiar with the new rule. Never hit it yet. They haven't let me break 75. I was asking if you had hit 75 and if so, what did CS do with you (it's their option, not ours).

Made it past 75 several months ago with 1 day left. No phone call to release me, so 4:12 was added. I remember having to correct payroll/ rainmaker to get it. I'm sure by now the system is up to date to correctly pay those that have over achieved during the month.

Remember there is still a -last day release- in the contract. Obviously only occurs for an overstaffed day ( pixie dust required), but has been changed to seniority...not credit hours for the month ( SCR ).

So if you're senior, own a unicorn, and it's a Wednesday in early January, you might get released on your last day.

Yeah, I had me some pixie dust once for a last day, but it was about a year ago I think. Glad to see you got paid extra for your hard work, Sir!

My class wasn't able to bid FLL off the bat(only a week after), so all the 10+ of us who wanted FLL are stuck in JFK until December. The Class after ours was able to bid and was awarded FLL rigth off the bat. Shouldn't this be seniority driven even though we missed the assignment by a week? Maybe something to look forward to on the next contract (Training language). Oh well, here I go to catch my commute 🙄

You can base trade, if available and so long as you don’t have a new base awarded. Yes, it’s an abrogation of seniority. There should be language preventing issues like this. No newhire should be awarded a base you are qualified and senior enough to hold. There was a time when a few new hires were getting (one or two even forced) LGB, but some west coasters from previous classes were stuck (for 2 years before the seat lock changed) on the 190 commuting to the east coast waiting to get to the 320. Another example of abrogated seniority, though I understand the need for seat locks. Glad it’s down to 1 year for new hires. But I do think the base situation needs to be fixed. A regular poster on here had to wait several more months to get to FLL from a quarterly bid than some guys junior to him who did a base trade, and I believe some new hires. Worth a call to your FO rep to explain the situation, ask the unions stance on it, and voice your displeasure. Only way for things to get fixed is if people speak up. Or maybe he will have an answer that will placate you.
