So they landed fast, cooked the brakes, and then were taxiing when the fuse plugs went...yikes. Glad everyone was ok though.

Again Mijami
There are reasons Miami operations are always looking for DECs, none of them are good! DEB or Direct entry Babysiters!

Most common thing heard in a cockpit of a Miami operation, “What did you say”?

And guard the controls convinced the guy in the right seat is going to try to kill you.

I’ll say it again,PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LISTEN, STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING MIA! Exemptions granted to AA and F9.

Eastern is not a Miami operation. They are based in Wayne, PA. Dynamic, the predecessor company, was based in North Carolina. Eastern just has a couple of scheduled flights out of Miami. They do in JFK as well.

I think it is
PA is Corp HQ but MIA is flight ops HQ. Correct me if I’m wrong please.
A rumor is that the D.O. from one bad actor in MIA just became the D.O. at Eastern Mark 3 and he is a real doozy.
With all the hiring going on now why would anyone go to these places?
Eastern, mark 3, REALLY.

Flight ops is also in Wayne, PA. Everything administrative and flight ops related is in Wayne, PA, dispatch, scheduling, D.O., chief pilots, etc. Training has been done in Dallas, using AFG sims, although may be moving to Boeing MIA in the future. New VP of ops came from the original Miami Air. Don't know much about his history though other than he spent most of his time at Miami Air as a line pilot, not in management. Only two scheduled routes from MIA, and use one of the heavy maintenance providers on 36th street (AAR possibly). But there are no administrative offices, no flight ops offices, and no management based in MIA, only in Wayne, PA.

Eastern's youngest airplane on the 767 fleet, N700KW (MSN 25443), turned 30 years old yesterday (February 21, 2022 - Its first recorded flight was February 21, 1992). Operating a 30+ year old fleet, maintained in the remote jungles of Peru by the lowest possible bidder, is not the best way to run a smooth and reliable operation. It tends to make the FAA and big clients like the DoD lose faith in you...
