I cannot figure out the lack of SIL’s and forward thought into 23k recovery. Being a union supporter, don’t take it in a wrong sense, but even in recovery slips for trips this month, talking 10-14 days in advance, swap into another trip after a NOOP, and now see legs cancelled in that trip.

The April rebid was an idea, with poor execution, one of my noop’d trips had 7 legs in 1 day, and was a complete disaster of not even being in the same cities for connections... that shouldn’t occur in a pairing generator. The rebid became pointless when a whole “new” bid pack showed up in OT at like 10pm the night before the first PCS. My thought was “ok, so these are the real trips that will operate”. So I swapped into those I liked. NOOP again. So if original trips are gone, rebid trips NOOP, recovery trips NOOP, and we run a 80% less operation, and the operation lives on Green slips....? What are we actually doing?

Networking wants a change, ok.. load it. Trips die. OK, NOOP. Now build real trips with weeks to review and tweak and offer them up in a WS/23J with last resort of a GS if out of reserves. Heck, even around xmas this past year I put in for GS trips and it was 1-3 Trips per run. 17 for APR 11 with an 80% reduced schedule. In a cash crunch. A question mark isn’t enough for the costs incurred. Those costs won’t be credited to the pilot group, not to the balance sheet, and the feds won’t see a difference when it comes to grants.

And we wonder why the company estimates for daily cash burn have been creeping up, while SIL “savings” have been going down...

Having said that, I actually feel a little sorry for the crew schedulers. Must be a nightmare place to work right now.

22 green slips for ATL717B yesterday, 23 today! There’s a bunch of ATL717A on GS #2 today... reminds me of the summer of 2016...

Does anyone know what reserve pays on the baby bus? 319, 320, or 321 pay rates?

Your PAS will show the rate for what you flew with an end of month line item to get your guarantee equal to having flown it all 321. So pretty much 321, but they made it complicated.
