Quote: Leaving the seat all the way up(highest position) is the only thing I really notice. I can’t, for the life of me, figure out what this accomplishes.
It puts a dent in your forehead when you hit one of the many protuberances.

The seat belts (mainly the buckle) go into the hemorrhoid hole so those of us with a ball bag don't get them smashed upon sitting down. I've found 3 VORs that didn't test properly over the years. One happened to be both Cpt and FO side. Every other neurotic setting of zeros, etc. Is just that. Neurotic.

Just curious.

Wait, what? You mean you actually have pilots that are setting zeros in the altitude window, etc. before leaving the flight deck?

Setting zeros. Ugh.

Maybe if we’re doing a 280’ flyby on the autopilot over Death Valley, otherwise it’s absurd and a safety issue.

When we intercept the GS or VNAV path on final we set zero in the altitude window. It was that day in training that I learned to "shut and color".

Anyways, the future LCA move is to set the altitude window to the outbound altitude, while setting every other window to zero. Then you get to touch every dial.

Makes perfect sense.

I knew the CA and I were gonna get along great when he set his to 001 as I was spinning mine to 359 after our first leg straight to a plane swap.

Sometimes it's the little things.

Sure it was. By the majority of your posts I highly doubt it.

Quote: I kinda gave up on forums too, unless really bored. It's sad because APC used to be a great resource. Lack of interest, declining membership, meaningless topics, turf battles and testosterone. The increase in sponsored ads show traditional forums giving way to other social media and could go the way of email chains of the 90's.
Propbably because dedicated social justice warriors have taken full time positions at apc to Force their beliefs inside of us
