OO will be a net positive of >1700 pilots by the end of 2022.

It is unfortunate, but you’re “category” is already slated to disappear.
We’re reading what you’re saying, so try reading what everyone else is saying…..
AW a single customer contract (UA only) for a customer that has explicitly said that your aircraft is going to disappear soon.

JFK said it best, “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.”
Again, you have over one hundred single class fifty seat aircraft that you fly, very much for UA as well. Those are just as slated for retirement as ours or anyone else's, which by the way are not entirely going to be phased out in any case.

Maybe in 2022 you'll be net positive pilots, but heck in 2022 everyone will be net positive. Maybe you can get more flying here and there but no more or less than anyone else can who is competing for it. I'm not the least bit afraid of competing against Skywest for UA 550s, 900s or any other airplane our management adds. We compete against you now and do well, we'll compete against you later and do well too.

SkyWest doesn't want to mess with the 550 for a myriad of reasons, so that is a pointless argument. So lets say you guys do add another type...who exactly you going to fly those for?

There are lots and lots of possibilities. The most obvious is that we continue to fly a combo of 200s and 550s for UA. Could add 900s for the right price, could fly 7 or 900s for AA, seems like they have no problem farming out flying. Could do a mix of any of that. Could fly 200s to smaller markets for a while.

Anyone in the regional industry should know that everything changes and nothing is guaranteed. Compass had fancy 175s and multiple contracts. Did that save them? Expressjet had 175s shortly before COVID, did that save them?

Maybe it'll be bad, maybe it won't. Doomsday is just as founded in guesses as anything else.

Compass didn’t own a single airplane. ExpressJet lost their 175s just before COVID blew up.

Do anyone of you work for upper management? That’s cool you like to pretend to, but rather than trashing each other and who we work for, how about we support each other as pilots. We have very little control with what happens with our carrier. So please, ****.

The only thing pilots like more than complaining that they deserve 1% more pay is telling other pilots that they are doomed and are making bad decisions.

sound like management when they came into our new hire class and with a straight face said they are competitive because they have their own acars and put 100 pound plates in the cargo hold. And that every major was coming to them daily with offers.

they legit told us this.

Hope y’all got those 2016 sunrise or sunset bag tags
