Quote: So again, PVG layover sucks?
throw in 50-100% add pay and the layover becomes a bit more palatable... I bet some senior folks are ****ed that junior pilots are snapping up these trips when they hit 50-75% PP.

I'm not even crazy about doing it in the US.

Quote: The TA absolutely subsidizes the salary of the would be furloughed pilots, otherwise there would not have been any cuts in guarantee. How can you not acknowledge this? Furloughs are paid with with the pay cuts of others, not to mention the pay protection windfalls. Delta got it right where only the would be furloughed get a pay cut.
That disregards those who would have gotten a pay cut due to displacement had the TA not provided a reversal/pay protection. Delta does not have that if I am reading their’s correctly.

A handful of hotels have their own water treatment facilities. Even then, I am leery. I brush my teeth with bottled water. No ice in my coke. No lettuce (often raw row crops are fertilized with human waste). Welcome to how the rest of the world lives.

You get it! I had to learn to survive when I had several layovers in Bangladesh and several other garden spots around the world.

I think young teenagers should live in a developing country for awhile, and see how most people live. They would not be spoiled brats after that. They would recognize what they have in the US. Or at least they would be a lot better.
