Good experience, a little low on time. If you got your CFI and II it would be more competitive. Apply and find out.

How'd it go? Wanna give us a run down? February class date. Preparing a little more everyday by reading the materials they've suggested.

Did everyone in your class make it through? I'm a pretty good student, but i'm still super worried

All of us passed the ground portion, only 1/3 of us have done the sim training so far but everyone that went to sim has passed so far. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Skimmed through this thread and I have a pretty good idea about a lot of things but I understand this industry is ever-changing and wanted some non-bias advice.

I'll be graduating from Riddle WW at that time I'm aiming for just over 500TT. I know PS says they will consider qualified applicants at 500TT but what type of things are they looking for in a pilot with low time? I guess my goal is that I would rather fly a PC12 and build time that way then to CFI 1500 hours in a 152 with a student.

When we talk about quality of time is the PC12 still looked at in a negative way or dead end to another opportunity in or outside of the company?

As someone who is not interested in the airlines as a career but drawn to fractional (After talking to several pilots in both areas) would this be a good starting goal? Or should I delay my application and build hours the old fashion way and trying to get a KingAir/Metro spot for multi time.

Any help is appreciated, like I said I tried my best to skim most of this thread but 100 pages is a commitment!

I'll try to answer some of your questions, but I would highly recommend doing some more data mining in different threads on APC.

For lower time pilots, PS is looking for experience that expands your toolbox or directly relates to PS operations. For example, PC-12 time, turboprop time, corporate or charter experience, crew experience, etc. A CFI or II is also looked upon favorably. These differentials make less of a difference for higher time pilots.

PC-12 time is not a "dead end." It is also not a career accelerator. You will get more opportunities sooner if you fly something more "complicated" than a PC-12. However, the on-demand ops and IFR experience is a plus.

PS is a great intro to fractional and/or charter flight ops. We do all the same stuff as the big names, with the exception of fewer international ops and of course no ocean crossings. You'll learn a lot.

I've said it before; apply and find out. It's a good company and you'll probably have fun. YMMV.

Hey guys I'm in the marchclass and haven't received any email as to what to study before hand. Can those guys who have just completed or about to go to training give me an idea of what to look over? Would rather get a head start while I can! Thanks

You'll get an email about a month before the start of class. It's a link to the training crew room. There's only a couple of files in there to include the AFM. If you do a search you can find the same file online.

I studied everything I could get my hands on before the start of the class... It really didn't benefit too much. PlaneSense has a great training department and they'll teach you what you need to know.

What's the pressure in this line? Do we have any control or a gauge for it? Nope? Don't care and you shouldn't either.

You'll show up for class the first day and there'll be a folder with some paperwork and a paper binder with pen for taking notes. You seriously don't need to bring anything with you.

At the end of ground is a 85 question multiple choice test. Then at the end of sim there's a standard checkride. I think my oral was just over a hour and the flight was maybe 1.5 hours or so.

The entire length of training, not once was there a situation where there was a trick question or someone was trying to fool me in to something simple. Everything is straight forward.

Like Magoo said, just go with the flow and study exactly what/how the training department tells you. They know what they're doing. The only thing I memorized before I came down was weights and speeds.
