I'm sure that's a question for management. If attrition picks up and recruiting slows down, then it would probably be on the table.

Quote: Any thoughts on Planesensese changing the pay scales? The regionals are all starting to raise pay and add some better benefits for commuters. I'd think PS would have to keep pace in order to attract new-hires.
Thanks
Highly unlikely. Planesense doesn't target regional/airline pilots in training. Most people that come to planesense have left the regionals for a somewhat better life style and most likely aren't going to go back unless it's a major airline, or have got on with low time and want to go corporate or wait for the new jets. $49 an hour is still not much when you're having a slumber party and pillow flights in a crash pad 6 days at a time with commuting to and from, many people would rather make 30k for a few months and upgrade to captain, And to be honest it's going to be hard to justify a 50k starting pay for a right seat pc12 pilot. It's simply not industry standard. Planesense is not really a stepping stone to greener pastures on the regional level, people either want the airline life or the corporate life. So regional pay really won't dictate the pay at Planesense.

JetBlue has recently hired a few Alpha people..... That said, they are the exception rather than the rule.

What would be your advice if you got on at a place like this as a CA, but only had around 70 multi. I don't plan on Going to a major, but rather a home base fractional or similar. Just wondering how big of a deal having mostly SE time would be versus holding out for a multi gig? Would go to a regional or somewhere but can't relocate due to wife's occupation.

You would limit your options as a result. You can make a career here, and if you stay long enough you will probably fly a jet and get your multi time. Also, we are not hiring street captains at this time, though we have in the past.

I think some of the demographics of new hires is changing this perspective. Also, the opportunities available in the airline sector will change this as well. However I still agree - starting regional pay will have a lower impact on PlaneSense and other similar operators. They are drawing from pools of people with different experience levels and aspirations. Pay changes will likely be tilted towards retention and less towards recruiting.

They probably had regional time and met the minimums. JB has taken from all of the fractionals recently.
