Quote: Any idea when the next class starts? Will that class be made up of people from last year or from recent interviews?
Supposedly, they are draining the pool in order. Those already in the process will be given the opportunity to complete it and then open the doors to new applicants. If current and projected needs don’t hiccup, there could be total new folks in the pipeline within a few months or even sooner if poolies already found something else and don’t finish the process.

Successful interviews next week should be offered a June 14th class.

Any idea when interview calls will go out to people who applied Pre covid and never started the process? Or for people who’ve applied in the current window?

They are working through all of the applications as quickly as they can. The goal is to hire 20 per month starting in June.

What is the operational relationship between Netjets Europe and the US based company? Does NJ fly much inter-Europe, Europe to Africa or Middle-east type flying? Do the inter-European flights need to be on European tail numbers, being part-91K? I was asking in the context of living overseas? I met a pilot for Flexjet (different company I know) some time ago that was based in Europe and lived in west Africa. Is this possible at Netjets?

Thanks in advance.

There are pilots at NJA who live in Europe and pay for their own tickets to and from their base to their home. I don't believe there are any NJE bases in Africa, but it would definitely be easier and cheaper to work for NJE and live in Africa on your days off. I'm sure you would be paying to get yourself to and from your base though.

NJA and NJE are owned by the same company, bit they are run separately. Customers can fairly seamlessly go from one to the other. NJA does a limited amount of inter Europe flights, but it is mostly ferries to get set up for the next customer leg back to the US or you are flying the same passengers around in Europe that you initially took over from the US. There are a lot of cabotage rules to follow so NJE ends up doing most of the inter Europe flights. Europe to the middle east and Africa will be almost exclusively NJE unless you count fuel stops on flights departing the US going to Africa or the middle east.

None of which you’re trying to do is possible at NetJets US. We don’t swap back and forth between the NJ US and NJ Europe companies. We don’t have any agreements that I’m aware of to work at NJ Europe. You can only work for NJ US if you’re applying to them. No it’s not possible to be based overseas with NJ US.

Yes NJ US does fly to Europe a lot and intra-Europe, and all over the world (pre COVID). However, as a New Hire, you won’t have the seniority to hold any of the large cabin airframes for at least 5 years (as of now). As a new hire, You can plan to be in the Phenom, Latitude, Sovereign, or Excel. (All based on the needs of the company). You’ll be flying to any of the islands, Mexico, North America, Central America and even possibly, South America.
