Just an update for the new hires so you are clear about the current sitcheation over here at 9E.

200 new hires, expect to sit reserve for 14-18 months with the extremely slim chance you may catch a line for 1 or 2 of those months. That may change a bit because all the 200 pilots we hired 14-18 months are starting to jump ship to the 900 like rats on a sinking ship. Remember if you are a commuter and sit reserve for any lengthy period of time you are going to experience anywhere from $800-$1000 per month in lost earnings. (Crash pad and per diem, trig/and coming soon drig). Ultimately, you have to make the best decision for you, I just want to make sure your expectations are realistic as to the two pilot groups currently at 9E. Since we are all generally trying to grow our careers, remember 14-18 months of reserve on the 200 with a conservative estimate will get you about 300 hours of flight time. This may have been acceptable in years past, however when every other pilot (including new hires) in the regional industry are doing 800-900 and the ambitious ones 1000 hours per year, then you can see why this lends to be egregious. Food for thought!

So when was the last 200 class and/or when is the next one potentially happening? I keep getting told that no one knows until the first day of class, but it's hard to believe that no one has that kind of G2 at all.

If there was a pattern or management told people in advance, the entire class wouldn’t show up. There are a few people who know. Good luck getting them to share.

If you’re worried about getting the 200, don’t come here.

If they think it’s bad now, wait until they shrink it down to the 12 hulls by the end of next year. Per the MEC communication just put out.

I just can't see us going down to 12 hauls. That is not at all financially sustainable from a maintenance and pilot training perspective. It's gotta be at least 25 hauls or zero.

They will go down to 12. Even faster then stated. Then the removal of all the 200s soon after. Like NJ said there will be downgrades associated with the transition. What a cluster!

Ive been here around 9 months and there is no incentive to stay here. I was apprehensive about coming here in the first place but chose to ignore the posts on here about this being a sinking ship; I did that and I regret it. I truly regret coming here. For the people with class dates and those considering coming here..don't. The pilots I've flown with are great and the people here overall are some of the best and I enjoy coming to work. But the people are about it. The opportunities we have here are dwindling by the day compared to our counterparts. Its clear that although we are touted as "the best" they have no plan or even intent to make an investment in us that shows that. when i day this it isnt tongue and cheek...Don't make the same mistake I did...go elsewhere.

Give some “specific examples” about how you were the best and what they took away from you to no longer be the best?

Im referring to our workforce, not company. Do you read the emails we get? that the party line that constantly mentioned about our workforce. Or do you think we are being compensated fairly and have the appropriate work rules..fatigue etc.? Taken? how about the extensions on every trip, not even min. days of and I live in base. Look at how long the wait for IOE is too for new hires...I thought mine was bad look at what it is now. Industry leading contract... do you think we have that? Absolutely not.
