74 and MY perspective only (Senior FO) - Pay rates are OK, but can stretch that coin thru overtime opportunities, especially with Art 33 like nothing ever seen before. Finally, having BLG and cherry picking high time lines coupled with Art 33 Big Red in/outs repeatedly over and over again- and than do some overtime lines on top of that = super coin baby. Yup, there are sometimes schedule changes I must admit, but dang if it hasn’t been advantageous having been able to pick the longest legs of Art 33 or anywhere and compensated for them when they disappear or are replaced by shorter legs what a deal. Finally, LTD in play (we’ll see if the buy up ever becomes worthwhile?) and 100% match on your 10% contribution now that’s a step up and while only 2% DC is a blow, it definitely is a foot in the door for something to be added to maybe stem the tide of attrition who knows. Either way just keep adding the cheddar so I can continue flying worldwide on someone’s else’s dime and while folks scream about the inefficiencies I myself capitalize on them at various locations with more time off to explore and enjoy the various cultures overseas. These experiences might be paralleled at just a few other carriers but never matched in variety and diversity at this time. Ohhhh and Gateway, don’t even get me started. Not in college anymore compadres. No crash pads, no jumpseating, no pressure - may lose a day compared to home basing elsewhere but definitely still worthwhile. Hey, might lose two days if headed to ANC (not my base) but I have been enjoying these great new schedules less than 17 days and being released a day or two early these past three months yowza what the heck is going on - I like it! Food in Flight - hit or miss and after all it’s airline food. Food on Purple flights definitely an upgrade but with that per diem increase (although taxable if surpassing the government rate) I certainly can make up for with a beverage and schnitzel in Germany, Schwarmas in Kuwait, Australian Beef last month, Hot Rock meats in Asia, simple Suds and Snacks with friends in Hawaii, the list goes on and on just for myself as I am not a fast foodie while abroad ever. Plenty more but my arms are tired from actual “cheerleading.” If accused of cheerleading might as well define it properly and undeniably own it. Definitely childish but now you know the rest of the story. Hand me my Poms Poms, afterall I can only afford one pair but that’s better than having only one.

*Art 33 get it while you can, nothing lasts forever and as history has proven neither do airlines.

Well said. Its a great job if you want it to be. The contract could be better, but the contract could be better alot of places. Also, don't eat donor kebabs in the lobby!
