So are titanium fires.

I wonder if that's why my ex wife tried to light me on fire?

Diesel F-450 is now redundant, it has only come with the 6.7 for a couple years now.

Isn't the difference the towing weight?

Depends on cab/chassis or pickup.

"Technically' the 450 pickup can haul less (200 pounds or so) than a similar equipped 350 Dual Rear Wheel, because they are both registered for 14,000 pounds. The difference is the 350 is properly rated, and the 450 is a paper derate to keep it in the normal pickup category in most states. It's really a 18k gross weight truck with 14k papers to keep it out of the commercial only realm.

I bought a 450 because while the 350 comes in DRW and SRW versions, the 450 only comes in DRW, and the front axle is wider, which allows the front tires to turn more, (further from frame) and my Crew Cab Long Box 450 will out turn my Super Cab short bed 250. Plus bigger brakes, 19.5 tires, 4.30 gears etc.
The base 450 price is like $13k more than a base DRW 350, but considering $10k of that is the Diesel Engine (which I would have optioned in a 350) and a few other "heavy" options (puck mount 5th wheel, among other things) it was a no brainer for me to order a 450 with what I wanted over a 350.

But I tow a 21k pound toy hauler to a bunch of motocross/supercross races. Of the 11,000 miles on my 450, 9000 of it is towing a large trailer.

I had a 250 maxing out my fifth wheel. Really wish I had done the dually 350. Thought the 450 was even better rated. Guess not really.

it’s not better rated, but the towing experience is vastly different. Kinda like how every 250/2500 truck is over gross but acts pretty okay

I used to tow my 21k toy hauler with my 250 and to see the self appointed tow police freak out was fun.

It was in limits, but right there. Would put anything heavy in the garage and no water in tanks.

450, it fits it ships. Within reason. Hard to overload with motocross bikes.

Quote: Nah. I remember. Teslas are pretty cool although I am not interested in one personally... I don't think they are at all an attractively designed car. I am more interested in something with a manual transmission and a big engine that probably half of you can't drive. And before you get offended... I'm kidding ....

Oh, and this is what my response about the batteries was to:
I'm driving a Tesla now and enjoy it but I'd does also sadden me how fewer and fewer cars are offered with manual transmissions these days. I enjoy not paying for gas but I'd consider ditching it for the right 6 speed. And none of that paddle shifty crap.

Oh absolutely on the highlighted. That ain't shifting.

I was thinking about the Challenger top of the line, but my wife likes the Mustang Mach 1 better. If I had my choice it would be the Corvette, but she's gonna win the discussion. At least it will save me about $40K over the Challenger and I don't know how much over the Vette. (which isn't an option)
