F9 customer service seems to be so lacking. I feel only so many people can be royally burned before F9 becomes the next "Spirit" meme on social media. I was given a great opportunity to come here through the cadet program, which I will respect. I was assigned a mentor, but I had a family friend already who has been a CA for 20+ years. My assigned mentor says "It's great, QOL is fantastic, stay with F9. My "other" mentor says "Go to a legacy asap".

I learned early on that money is not everything, so I'm looking for a flexible schedule. Living at base, building seniority quick, and having the days off I need. I'll take that over an extra 100k. We have a 3 year contract that if broken will need to payback a 50k bonus at the federal interest rate. My plan is after those three years, see where I feel F9 is heading. People on the internet tend to be grumpy, so I take what I read here publicly with a grain of salt. I have 35+ years of career, so I feel 3 years to decide won't kill me.

Get out now is all I can say. I’m a left seat line holder that drives to work. I am choosing to leave and commute because I don’t want to spend another 30+ years at this company. It isn’t worth it, don’t lose 3 years of legacy hiring to see how this place turns out.

We can kick and scream all we want on APC but it’s not going to stop the endless supply of cadets we have waiting for class. As long as we have LCA’s to give 100 hours of IOE we will not have a shortage of pilots here.

That 50K you save now will cost you 1,000,000 + upon retirement 👀

The cost of 5000 +/- in seniority is staggering....... good luck

Need a like button. That 50k with federal interest will cost you an insurmountable amount of money. Also, DON'T SPEND IT. Why would anyone back themselves into a corner like that?

I've been saying the same thing. Just parking it in an account with a higher yield than the interest rate.

My issue primarily is that I don't meet the minimums for a legacy, nor do I have an unrestricted ATP. Not sure how it will look by the time that happens.

I also want both. Even if we work less. why does responsibility for more passengers, do more work to do our job, and have more put on our shoulders not warrant AT LEAST industry standard pay?

Barry, is happy to have you. He prays that 2100 Pilots think this way and he hopes the new contract includes more "non-pay" items, because pay, and money, is not everything.
