Quote: AV8ER,

Read this carefully and then read again after my succinct response: ditto.

You have time to tell your MEC what you want. None of this goes into effect until post merger.
Plus, we can still negotiate a joint contract and SLI prior to the closing date, which would be the preferable thing.

Absolutely!

But, somehow, the NWA MEC doesn't see things that way.

Do the NWA line pilots agree with their MEC?

Has the NWA MEC painted itself into a corner? or do they really believe their press releases?

I don't know the answer to that question. Anyone from NWA care to answer?

Much preferable. Management is in a hurry to get the deal approved and closed. A prior joint contract and SLI will help them, and they will pay for this help. If they get it done without such pilot assistance, their wallet will slam shut and they will revert to a cost-control mode. A divided pilot group will then have great difficulty prying loose any contract improvements at all.

Are you paying attention, NWA MEC???

The voice of experience...

Thanks, Tom!

Good luck to us all...

I hope both MECs find some value in the suggestion. Neither side can afford to stonewall.

Little birdies are telling me it's not the Delta MEC that is "stonewalling"....

Of course, little birdies on both sides like to sing...

How did a bird not get shot trying to migrate south from Minnesota? Totally odd.

Those birdies tend to sing whenever you turn on Ted Nugent and give them flashbacks to Michigan and Eight Mile.

Quote: Its very simple. NWA's committee said they were willing to discuss their proposal further but would not discuss or entertain DALPA's proposal. A that point DALPA said there was no point in going further.
How do YOU know this, pls provide a source!

Quote: No I haven't, You ever heard Karma is a B*tch! You STILL did not answer why YOU feel you are entitled to equity more so than I? You HAD NOTHING TO DO with the Neg (unless you are on the Neg Comm), therefore YOU are not entitled to more than anyone else. JMHO

Why do you want me to beg my reps, you dont want to go to arib?
No kidding! NWA vs Republic. I was thinking the same thing.

I'm curious what the delta pilots think the NWA pilots should get if the SLI is/isn't done by the merger date?

Should they get a pay raise, equity or nothing at all?

Would your feelings be any different if NWA got a 28% raise and equity and delta was left out?
