What would you be doing if AA created another airline strictly to fly their widebody aircraft and paid them less? That's what I thought...I wish I was pretentious enough to be a badass mainline pilot....

We haven't had one of these entertaining threads in about a month......Now lets get it on!

Quote: I love strpping on them every time they have a readback. It really ****es them off. I do it twice. Then I let them tell ATC they actually heard their instructions.

Just enough to annoy them pretty good.
Stepping on their readbacks to ATC is a bit much and compromises safety. I would hope that you see this.

Step on them on company/operations frequency all you want, but don't tie up ATC -- they are already tied up enough as it is.

I hate these scum just as much as most. I would prefer they not be in the jumpseat but if they are, they're going to get an earfull. Likewise I'll NEVER ask for a ride from them. If they're feelings are hurt, BFD. I have a lot of friends who were put on the street in 2006 because of growth that should have been on their seniority list and refused to lower themselves to the wages blowjet was paying.

However, you have a bunch of people in the back that bought a ticket on United, not blowjet. They in all likelyhood don't even know the difference. Please don't step on radio calls or do anything that comprimises safety for their sake. I don't care if you give them the bird. I don't care if you give them a dirty look. I don't care if you flat out tell them to F-off. I don't care if you just point at the alter-ego sticker on you bag. Don't put unknowing pax at risk.

I couldn't agree with you more. Well said my friend.

I totally agree with you man...my thoughts exactly but the main problem I have is that the flying public has no idea. I mean its like jumping into a cab with no license or certificate or anything...and odd enough people do that crap too...

Ugh...a little education would go a long way here...

Yea and if that other airline was now unionized, paid better than your airline, had a new contract, flew better airplanes, and were hiring instead of furloughing I'd be ****ed off too. By the way in all of my time at TSA, I've never seen anything done to GJ guys, it's mostly just ignoring. It's not friendly especially in ORD but I've never seen a guy get heckled and I've yet to hear someone step on a GJ transmission. In fact I was talking to a TSA CA and he said people were fired for not accepting GJ guys in jumpseats??

yes, that happened. mgmt was not happy they denied a JS to another Trans States Holdings employee.

if course, now it means that if you have to, a TSA guy can walk on the plane, say "F off" and have a seat in first.

and is it just me, or are the GJ planes the only ones that have the "caution" sticker on the left engine right by the cargo door? even mesa folks know enough to duck before walking into an engine nacelle.
