On a concessionary contract that was signed before GoJet existed. Hourly pay isn't the only consideration but it's the only one you can look at here. You've given me one airline.

TSA GOJET AE CHQ MESA COMAIR ASA SKYWEST, I don't care who you are, you all have lead to the destruction of the life of the airline pilot. Period!

So all the name-calling is just to make you feel better for the crapy service you provide, and below poverty wages you work for. It's no more than "BIG EGOs, and SMALL PEE-PEEs!" GoJet did not lead to this destruction (nor did it help) any more then MESA or TSA or any other dirt bag regional airline out there.

And you guys are knights in shinning amour claiming "100's" of your friends got furloughed at TSA b/c of GoJet (ps Though FEW furloughs occurred for less than 2 months (no pilots of which returned when recalled) and were b/c TSA lost USAIR flying and TSA mgt was to stupid to realize that need not furlough) where were you when 10,000+ mainline pilots got the axe? Probably running over your buddies to get in a shinny new RJ... Or just going though puberty.

So I don't see how any RJ driver can say any other RJ driver lowering the bar. Unless he admits that he himself is also lowering the bar!!

The way oil is going and the way airlines are moving away from 50 seat rjs. My guess is you probably will not have to worry about MESA, or GoJet by 2010. If more fifty seat flying gets dump by TSA they will go BK. GoJet probably will not be able to support its self with 15 RJs it will be gone too. MESA we all know the story there. Once DELTA gets to dump them they are toast.

OK I have said my part... Enjoy the show of the next 50+ pages of JUNIOR HIGH mud slinging....
I must have forgotten that you and BURflyer popped right outta your momma and into that bright and shiny mainline jet. I gotta apologize, my memory was a little fuzzy.

Would you guys be happier if we all just instructed until our 40's and then joined "THE ELITE OF THE MAINLINE AIRLINE PILOTS!"??? Just thought I would ask so I can start applying.

And if anyone tries to tell me that if they were in my spot 20+ years ago, that they would not work for a regional airline based on their "morals of the industry". You would be doing the same thing me and guys like me are doing now, and you know it.

Rant over.

So mainline pilots sell out on scope and refuse to fly these small airplanes (including those tiny F100s, nothing to do with pay, only size), so when those are the only jobs that are open any more, it's regional guys' fault? How else are they supposed to get the the majors, then? Do you (not Herbie), oh mighty AMR (the big one) pilot, have any suggestions? Here I was thinking basically the only entry level jobs in this industry were regional jobs, and there are entire fleets of A380s waiting for young pilots to start on earning $200k a year. Man, damn kids not doing their research.

should have scoped down to DC3 seat numbers - i am sure the economics would have worked. easier to blame the RJ flyers. some of you need to take econ 101 and get away from the urban legends website.

We'd be happier if you didn't take the first job at some scab airline just beacusse they were willing to pay you to fly a pretty jet. If more of those scab airlines go out of business, the remaining good ones will be able to grow, instead of outsourcing the flying to people willing to work for peanuts.

Talking down to regional pilots who are trying to make a living flying airplanes just proves what a jack a** you really are. Do you blame the weather guy if a tornado hits your house? What is going to happen in this industryis going to happen. We can't change jack ******* if all we do is blame each other as pilots for the current mess we are in. Even if I didn't take a job at TSA, someone else would have. Point the finger elsewhere and quit blaming regional pilots for your plight!

the thing I can't figure out is that Mason32 claims up and down he doesn't fly for a regional, but if you look at his other posts he flys for Eagle.....which is why I take everything he says with a grain of salt.

I call BS on this one, you and every other regional pilot out there is working for peanuts. Just because you make a few hundred dollars more per month under your contract and are away 65% of the year from home instead of 70% doesn't necessary raise the bar....... stop the bashing.
