Sorry it was "hawt" but UAL trips are money makers! Except when they cancel half the stuff in the winter time.

Wrong. RAH was flying 70 seaters on the Chautauqua cert initially and paying a heavy fine to AA. There were delays in getting Republic running and this is why they bought Shuttle America.

If they try to integrate I have a feeling Trans States Holdings would lose much more than just the American flying. A vast majority of the captains and FOs at TSA would walk before they integrated with Blowjet. Even with the current state of things Blowjet is still hiring direct entry captains. What does that tell you about that place?

to keep the TSA guys on property, they'd have to keep the TSA name...without it, i think the vast majority of pilots would walk, might keep some FO's, but not many captains, and as we know, they need captains over at blowjet.

Someone also mentioned that apparently the AA scope was for 44 seat aircraft, and, that TSA was actually paying a fee to AA in order to fly the 50 seat aircraft. Albeit, it's not as much as you'd pay to fly a 70 seater on the certificate, but apparently, it's "something".

Not a lot. Plus they've stopped hiring DEC. There's 4000 hour furloughed guys applying now. Also they have high upgrade mins, they've only been in business for a few years. Plus they are getting up to 10 more CRJs by next year. You can't upgrade 500 hour F/Os in 2 years, that's why DEC. I'd worry about a place like Mesa who's been in business for too long who's still hiring DECs.

They've been getting more CRJs for about two years. However they're still at 15. I'll believe it when I see it.

A phone call and a little cash is all it takes to lower upgrade mins. I was in class at TSA when the memo came out that dropped them to ATP mins.
