Yeah that lawsuit was dismissed in record time, it was and is nothing but a ploy to drain west resources, didn't work.
Anyone able to post an executive summary so I don't have to go to law school to decipher this thread?
The west and east guys aren't getting along and are suing each other
lmao..great way to sum it up
"The West Pilots do not have an adequate remedy at law for future
damages that will accrue until Defendant US Airways and USAPA comply with their
contract and representation duties because there are too many factors affecting any
calculation of their likely damages to make such calculation practical."

SOOOO, these 6 folks are throwing the rest of the West under the bus and going for $ for themselves only?

No. That gives them cause to seek injunctive relief for their group (West). The relief they seek is spelled out pretty clearly.
To further summarize, the East guys sued a few west guys-viewing their actions/suggestions/blog comments as a conspiracy against USAPA. (West guys calling the "free" 1-800 number just to rack up charges and suggesting to their fellow pilots that paying dues to an organization whose sole purpose is to pursue a DOH seniority list is detrimental to your best interests)

West guys are suing the East to mandate implementation of the Nicolau award since it was a binding arbitration, and the transition agreement between AW and USAir included terms regarding negotiating in good faith. And, no matter your opinion, negotiation does involve some give and take. Take it or leave it doesn't really constitute good faith negotiation in my opinion.
