I don't live in base, I don't live somewhere we fly to, and I hate working extra once I have days off. I have no idea where we are with it because it is not an option for me unless I want to spend extra time in South Florida. Thats my only understanding of it.
Also I apologize for saying you were upset.
I'll stir the pot some more.
Great point Bored- it may of may not work for you. We're all in a different place here when it comes to how much we want meow to work vs how much we need to work....
I'm counting the days I'll be off first year pay. Meow I knew before I accepted the job here there would be many challenges during the first year. Trying to support and raise a family on it is tough. I commute as well. I will not pick up OT 1$ for 1$ at the expense of missing watching my little ones grow.
If we all (everyone of us...74%er, 26%er, commuter, live in base people) said no for a month or so, maybe 150% would come back. Of course making consessions meow for it like dropping the 4 days off between pairings would not work for us commuters........ but then there's another issue- some people here wouldn't mind seeing us lose the 4 days off between pairings. Some folks wouldn't mind seeing us lose the transition language either- because they are not senior enough to make it work. Making everyone happy is impossible
I'm banking on the nude ghey art show I'm having to supplement my income for the next few months
