Scott, the only one talking "calendar" days is you. My post made no mention of it. The contract language I cut and pasted made no mention of it either. You do what you like of course. I'm gonna get paid.
By the way, 0000 also takes a day off from a pilot. Technically, a 15 day off line is now a 14 day off line.

following:
a. Flight pay (as per Section 2.T) for the entire trip; or
b. Four and one-half hours per duty period for the entire trip for multiple duty period trips, or four hours per duty period for single duty period trips; further, a pilot shall be credited for pay purposes with one additional duty period (four and one-half hours) for each scheduled away-from-domicile layover that exceeds a continuous 22-hour period;

Good luck with your grievance. When you file it you will need the contractual reference. Here it is...

Its a common misconception, especially with the recent pairings that have report times on the previous day or redeyes that arrive in the early morning hours of the last day.

I'm surprised that anyone still believes that we have calender day min pay. It's been gone a long time.
FWIW, my NO vote was specifically related to trip averaging - duty period guarantee vs daily guarantee. A smarter than myself friend ran the numbers back then and came up with an 18% loss due to this trip average deal.
Now we need to get together, stop bi678tching about little stuff like uniforms and work on making this average bovine scat go away in three years.

This is my first ever posting on APC, hope it's not too crass. . .
Are there any former Comair pilots at Spirit who might be able to offer a hand getting a soon-to-be out-of-work (thanks Delta) Comair pilot on at Spirit? I've had my sights set on Spirit (even before Delta's decision to shut Comair down), but I'm having difficulty breaking through. Thanks in advance . . .
