I don't live in base, I don't live somewhere we fly to, and I hate working extra once I have days off. I have no idea where we are with it because it is not an option for me unless I want to spend extra time in South Florida. Thats my only understanding of it.
Also I apologize for saying you were upset.

No not at all. I was furloughed before I even had the chance to try and figure out the system from the previous contract. And when I came back we had this contract in place. I have been JA'ed once in my time here, and only because they caught me for a 4 day JA as I was walking to the gate for my commute home.

Great point Bored- it may of may not work for you. We're all in a different place here when it comes to how much we want meow to work vs how much we need to work....
I'm counting the days I'll be off first year pay. Meow I knew before I accepted the job here there would be many challenges during the first year. Trying to support and raise a family on it is tough. I commute as well. I will not pick up OT 1$ for 1$ at the expense of missing watching my little ones grow.
If we all (everyone of us...74%er, 26%er, commuter, live in base people) said no for a month or so, maybe 150% would come back. Of course making consessions meow for it like dropping the 4 days off between pairings would not work for us commuters........ but then there's another issue- some people here wouldn't mind seeing us lose the 4 days off between pairings. Some folks wouldn't mind seeing us lose the transition language either- because they are not senior enough to make it work. Making everyone happy is impossible

I'm banking on the nude ghey art show I'm having to supplement my income for the next few months

No KCM, company wants concessions for it, but I watch Spirit crews daily cut everyone in line in order to get through security ASAP.
$3/month is less than 1.5 hours of per diem for us. Clearly it isn't worth saving 1.5 hours of time (per month) to get us through security faster in the company's opinion.
The company has spoken - they would rather take the delay. Since the company doesn't desire for me to expedite through security for an on-time departure . . . I won't. Stop using the crew line - there's even a memo not to cut in front of passengers in one of our bases.
BTW- the fee for KCM doesn't go to the government, it goes to Air Inc., the company that maintains the CASS database, the KCM database, SFO and NYC radio, etc.

Ok, This is just as much to spank stupidity, as to bump "spirit of nks" (until Sailor comes up with a cooler name)...
Before KCM, you managed to "cut" or wait, or whatever; but I bet you made it - like the rest of us - (or you'd be NOI'd by now) to the aircraft on time (maybe your colleague did your job while waiting for you to show up?)
Mr. Ned,
What is your basis for choosing to stand in line and delay a flight?
What in the CBA allows you to NOT follow the TSA established procedure to expedite through security?
I'll be looking for you as I "cut"... doubt I'll ever see you.
And if you do have the sack to wait in line, good luck on that noi, maybe you will be the next topic of our Bi-Annual SPAMEC update.

On another note, anyone knows if 2013 VAC bidding is supposed to be available now in SEP (bid pkg says starting Sep01) or did I miss a email-read file-photocopy on my vfile type of communication?
