I honestly can't answer that, mostly because the top of the pay scales are pretty close, but to the 90% of us at Spirit who haven't been here 15 years, the numbers are not nearly as close and DAL F/O and junior Ca pay blows ours away.

I LOVE 4 Days off, but that's because ACY probably won't be around forever and if/when it closes that clause will probably save my sanity & marriage.

Look, I really love it here and I don't want to go to Delta, I really don't. I just want us to strive to get a lot closer to their total compensation. VX GUYS make more per hr than we do.

Lastly, that extra 7% is so friggin huge when it comes to retirement. That 7% compounded over a career is a lot, and I mean a lot of money.

B. Delta's A320 pay of $203/hr with 15% retirement, about 8% profit sharing, no guarantee of 4 days off, Pref Bidding, and no transition conflicts.

Honest question.

Delta all day...

We shouldn't even think about giving up anything in exchange for something else. Some of our work rules are equal to none but this is far from being the truth for the rest of the contract.
I don't think we are entitled to ask for the same pay rates as DAL but there is a LOT of margin before we even get close to them.
So I want the good with the good.

Correct. Plus delta is going into negotiations in 15 and will likely greatly improve upon the current rates

B-all day. That retirement difference is worth possibly millions over the course of a career.

Plus One.

There are Delta A320 FOs making 200k plus. Spirit did not invent soft time.

Delta's A320 pay of $203/hr
FYI the AA JCBA proposed A320 CA top out is $235/hr.

Yeah, but there's no mechanism for us to credit the number of hours that a Delta pilot can. And then there's our lack of profit sharing. Our W2 will end up falling far short, even with the high hourly rate.

Anyway, feel free to point to us, but really Delta is the gold standard.

To play devil's advocate, are you saying if you were a 15+ year Spirit captain you would accept a 9.7% raise (and future matching of Delta's pay raises), 6% extra retirement, about 8% profit sharing, and 5.5 hr daily guarantee in exchange for accepting pref bidding, eliminating transition conflicts, and giving away 4 days off?

Um, yeah. I've talked to and flown with a few senior guys who are ready to accept PBS. They know they'll end up on the top side of PBS, and they realize that demographics have changed.

I'll vote no on any contract that implements PBS. I also remind the FOs I fly with that PBS would alter the manning equation significantly here: less hiring and less upgrades.
