Anyone else notice the newer Sharklet airplanes (noticed in 631) the strobes aren't nearly as distracting at night

605 and beyond. It's called "AOA mode" and is just that, a red/green/red fast/slow indicator and GPS altitude. Could save your ass with unreliable airspeed; easiest way to get there is turn all three ADR PBs off.

Of course, this mode won't do much for you with frozen AOA vanes...

That's it. Unfortunately, its not discussed that much. It should be with all these OEBs referring to unreliable airspeed and blocked AOAs. In fact our AOM Vol. 1 is so old I don't believe its in there.

I thought the same thing, but figured I was just crazy. Maybe Airbus came up with, or could come up with a modified lens that would re-direct the flashy thing elsewhere.

AOA mode........

On another note 633 has a QRH, anyone knows if that would be strd on every airplane?, witch is great for performance since is AC specific (none of -" if tail # thru tail # " or 319,20 or 21)

Why is a specific QRH good for performance? Did they move the performance numbers out of the COM or are you referring to something else?

I guess I'm asking what's different about in it general? Is it in addition to the QRM or replacing it?
