Quote: I still don't see a policy regarding an MEC/LEC member or anyone else posting on a board. That was an e-mail sent by the Strike Committee Chairman circa 2010. I would like to see something on the ALPA Consititution or official document. And yes, it is the same very anti-socialist, anti-"workers of the world unite/dictatorship of the proletariat" guy.
Just to be clear, Im not suggesting ALPA makes policy as to what we do in our personal lives. That letter suggests that the MEC's policy is to discourage board participation at least during that time period.

Any letter from an ALPA official to the pilot group is deemed official, especially if it is signed with their ALPA title. I'm quite sure that our MEC can make policy any time they want with a simple conversation. They don't need a scribe and wax seal.

You must be frothing at the mouth. Proletariat? Haven't heard that word since I studied the French Revolution. Are you bourgeois or a lord?
Quote: Has anyone had experience with this company over by lax? I wonder if they can match our uniform design/color etc. LAX Airline Pilot and Flight Attendant Uniforms Tarpy Tailors (310) 645-4694
Very nice people and they have the same color (blue/black as it is known, if you see an airline uniform provider that has Air Wisconsin colors, that's the same as ours), but they don't have our braiding.

I ended up buying my uniforms at M and H in the UAL training center in Denver ( right across the street from the crew doubletree hotel). The pants were $ 55 each and blazer was $150, cheaper than the upgrade price that in-****-tex charges us to get the M and H uniform from them! Unfortunately M and H doesn't have the braiding either but Tally Ho does, so I got the blazer without it and I am having Tally Ho in MIA put it on for $35. Awesome that we essentially have to fund our own uniforms to not have to wear the absolute garbage from Incentex.

Well, I have a problem with that. Policies, especially from an organization who's decisions can highly affect our lives, SHOULD NOT be just made up in a simple conversation.

Frothing? You're the one with the liquid screen name. And, by the way, you cited the wrong revolution. Check out the one that happened in 1917. That one should be an interesting read...
Ah Google... the Airbus for "intellect's"

Come on, this "Yo Mama" flight between Lem and 320 is good entertainment. Your right though, 320 must be a real rocket surgeon, cause I usually have to google at least one thing in his posts. I think he has lots of time on his hands at the moment, since the mods at the biatch board put him in the penalty box for two weeks.

Game on.......

RE: Chicago O’Hare Crew Base

Spirit Airlines is pleased to announce the opening of Chicago O’Hare, as our newest crew base! This new base will increase our operational reliability and flexibility by allowing us to bring low fares to more communities around the country. Once the base is fully operational some of the benefits we expect to realize:

· Increased operational reliability through greater crew reserve coverage

· Reduction in overnight hotels

· Less interrupted trip expense related to crew availability

· Better system recovery by reducing crew delay carryover

All of this translates into better reliability for our customers. Additional details will follow, including information on crew vacancy bids and future crew support resources available in Chicago.

Best Regards,

Tony
