That is the only answer I would have accepted.
Well done.

Hopefully, they were on centerline, captain taxiing and someone wasn't jumping the gun by putting their charts away or they my be in some serious trouble.

Anyone find it interesting our bird is already back online?

Just read the story on CNN, don't read the comments section, there sure are some stupid people out there.

Tough luck, and I don't mean to be insensitive about the issue, I'm still learning, but how does this effect this Captain?

Hope everything goes okay for him, accidents happen even to the best.

It's definitely not a good thing but if they were doing everything by the book I would think a suspension is a worst case scenario. If they weren't that's a completely different story and the union might have their hands full keeping both of them around.

Something you may not be used to because you have mostly a military background, both crew members share a lot of the blame. Yes the captain is the final authority and has the most responsibility but at anytime the FO could have hit the brakes if he/she saw this coming. So the entire crew may see consequences not just the captain.

Haven't seen it, but the incident seems minor.

fron CNN article
The Spirit aircraft has resumed flying, while the US Airways plane is out of service for inspection and repair of its damaged tail cone, the airlines reported.
Probably the hard stands b/t T5 and T6, opposite the firehouse. It was inevitable - the lighting there is horrible, , the taxi line is faded, and the taxiway forces aircraft to turn 2 corners while taxing between parked, unlit aircraft on the left and a building on the right. Hopefully this will be the impetus to repaint that taxi line.

Who knows what effect will this have on our crew. One thing for sure, nobody is gonna back them up from cp office. It can happened to anyone of us. The truth is the only way to defend yourself in all cases. Hopefully the yeller line was followed and it was one of those freak incidents that the crew can survive the noi. Who knows!

Was it on the west remote by our gates or the one by the fire house?

I'm sure the company will point out that they issued a memo about staying on a taxi line at all times, rather than going around other aircraft.

Like I said, it was going to happen to one of us, or JetBlue (who also taxis through that same area to their gate).
