Quote: I think everyone answered you in the other thread you started, http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/major/43659-c-scale-new-delta-not-happy.html why do you feel the need to post here too?
It's hot over there now. Taking lots of rounds from the enemy
Quote: It used to be staight across the hallway from the pilot lounge entrance, behind a coded, locked door. As far as the lounge being small...I've never seen it overcrowded....a few recliners, a few computers, bulletin board, etc. It's not that big of a pilot domicile.
According to some of the former Western guys I've flown with, the lounge hasn't changed since the mid-1970s. It could use an upgrade (to say the least). There is a bag room and a small sleeping room. Other than that, I try to limit my time in the lounge as much as possible.

Thankfully we LA guys have Patti. She's a God-send.

Sounds like everyone is the enemy...
Glad to see you guys quickly returned to your boring normal conversations after I left.

Shouldn't you be getting in fights in the crew room?
Seniority Integration
This does not have anything to do with Latest and Grates, so I apologizing in advance. I just wanted to get the opinion of someone whom might have been in this situation before. Let’s say Delta decides to merge Comair and Mesaba and use relative seniority to integrate the two pilot groups, what would happen to the pilots currently on furlough? A lot people are saying that according to ALPA’s history, furloughed pilots are stapled to the bottom of the list. Any opinion would be greatly appreciated. Again, sorry to take this off topic.

There's not really anything off topic in this thread as long as you can reference it back to Delta or hot college girls showing "school spirit."

Stapling furloughs is not actually due to ALPA's history, it's due to historical precedent in court arbitration. But yes, that is the precedent with regards to furloughs.

If wanted, both sides could make their cases to ensure all furloughees were given appropriate relative seniority or the like.

What the arbiter decides is binding though... and it is their interpretation of what is fair and legal.

Hence, why I like "temporary duty assignments" better than flow down.
Quote: Bar, When did you hear Steve Dickson say they are contemplating furloughs after 2010?
I got a copy which was printed without the "not." Correcting my post.
Guys,

The Civil War is indeed over - we should all be one big happy family, but if you must argue I have a recommendation: Please do not talk about which side made out better - both sides have been taken to the cleaners repeatedly since 9-11.

All arguments should be referenced to which side got screwed the least.
