Quote: Sounds like a great investment. Sold my Delta stock at $16
Sold mine at 15.75 and thought I was a genius. That is why I don't invest in stocks.

Sold mine at $13 and some change and I thought I was a genius also.

The insiders know how to manipulate and play their game.

They NEVER write anything down. Always verbal lowering of expectations. So guys like you can say it is not happening.

Why don't you have one of the ATL reps commit in writing that they will honor our surveys and not touch profit sharing or sick leave?

We will hold our breath.

Do away with the use it or lose it plan, let us bank hours that we don't use, let us sell back a certain portion above a threshold level once per year at 50%, and stop hassling us with verification notes.
The key to all of your ideas at the end is how many hours we would accrue, and at what interval?

Unless it's 240/year, I'm not really interested. I use sick when I'm sick (3-4 times per year) and would be taking a serious chunk out of my bank, if we were under such a system. In fact, if we only got 5 or 6 hours/month I would pretty much break even every year - and certainly wouldn't be building up a huge pile of hours for a catastrophic event like Timbo worries about.

I much prefer our current system, which coupled with DPMA and LTD provides a really nice backstop for that catastrophic event. Another plus is roughly 99% of our pilots are currently protected every year by those 3 components. If we were to go to a bank, after a couple of years, a much greater % of us will not have the same protection as we regularly use some or all of the bank.

Like I said, it's all about how many hours are going in, but I'm of the opinion that our sick program ain't broke, so let's not fix it.
Further Rocky, how many sick verification notes have you been hassled about? Serious question. I haven't ever been asked to submit anything, although I have voluntarily a couple of times.

I ask, because I hear guys make the statement you just made, yet I rarely come across someone who has actually been hassled. Actually come to think of it, I can't think of one.

I really don't care if they want a note anyways. I don't gsme the system, and if they want the note they have to pay for the Doc visit. From what I hear it simply doesn't happen. I'm happy leaving that provision intact if they leave the rest of the program alone.

Take a look at your sentence. You have 50 percent of your retirement invested in a single stock. I'm glad you kept it, and I'm not an investment advisor. That being said, I think it's safe to say any expert would tell you to diversify a little bit. You have way too much risk right now.
Now enough of this what are we giving up BS?

Delta just posted an unimaginable profit, and is expected to only go higher this year. How about we talk more about what we expect to gain, and stop this loser talk about not conceding anything.

My Expectations for C2015:

Pay - With AA to pattern off, I think we should see a considerable gain right out of the gate.

Min Day - The time is right to make the jump from ADG to Min Day of 5:15. ADG progress has been fantastic, and this is the next step in improving our pay/time at work

VTS - Vacation: add 15 min/day/year of the contract, reaching at least 4/day by year 3. Then a week would actually make a dent in the PBS calendar. Training: min day of 5:15 for all events. Finally clean up 1-1 runtime of Distance Learning. Sick: leave it alone

DC - 17%

Health Care - Make an HSA and Delta dollars in the HSA contractual. Delta supplies enough Delta dollars to meet an individual deductible.
