You are correct sir.
The T-way birds will be going to Asia to bring Business Elite product to the Intra Asia markets starting early May.

If we are serious about competing in those markets, that is a step in the right direction.

Cheers

Why can't they just put the BE interiors in the airplanes that are already there?

The talk of the 50 going away is just talk. Until it goes away, its all smoke and mirrors. Would you treat talk of orders any differently? A lot of the rhetoric is just posturing, people in management say its going away so they can keep leverage on the people flying it to stop asking for more money. Until the plane is no longer flying 40% of your domestic routes, I'd considder it "not dead".

Really? Go tell a Comair pilot the 50 seater going away is just talk. Over 100 50 seaters have already been removed from the DCI system, & more are on the way out. And while Skywest may have gained some flying on the UsAir side, ASA is losing flying on the DCI side.

Add to that Frontier is parking 50 seaters. Pinnacle's future isn't bright, as Saabs are being parked and their 100+ CRJ200 contract expires in 2017.
Quote: What has to change is no one should be left at the gate with empty seats. If the flight takes a few minute delay, so be it. I am guilty of checking in at the airport before my last turn with only a 20 minutes scheduled connection, then showing up right before door close. I've never missed the flight, but it is always a real possibility.
Exactly. Not all non-revs have he flexibility of showing up 45 mins prior to departure. No need to penalize as it a) may eventually happen to everyone, and b) won't materially stop people from not showin up. if people don't get there on time, go to the next folks.

LAMO Just awesome.

On Comair - thats what happens when people start to make B scale wages again.. They shuffle it away. In the same period of time that comair has been shrinking, Compass and Shuttle have been growing.

ASA's lost flying on DCI is going to GoJet, again with the shuffle.

Pinnacle's future - is future. Not present. All speculation.

Frontier is an amalgamation and poorly run airline. Nothing short of a sell off can save that place from BB. The very few parked chataqua 145s are being used outside of airline service for charters where they can.

Speaking of the present - 5 minutes on wikipedia/apc reveals appx ~890 50 seat RJs currently flying in service of legacy airline branded operations in the US alone.

Far from dead.
comair has 20 more 50 seaters exiting by june. I hear they are being scooped up by skywest with cheaper leases.
Quote: Okay, nonrevs should not be allowed to check in online or at the least there should be a penalty when they no show. This is crap. They don't show, sorry no time to remove them and put someone else on because we can't be late... plane goes out with empty seats and nonrevs waiting.

This has to change, there are a lot of sloppy flippant nonrevs.
Ever think that the misconnected????????

To be honest I don't think anyone should be allowed to check in from home. I mean really isn't that the point of checking in to prove that one is in fact there? Why not just take away check in completely It only takes about 2 minutes to check in on the Kiosk for those that know what they are doing and those that don't should plan on arriving with ample time anyway.

These little quirks bug me as much as you FTB.
