Quote: Check,

Thought they were going all weekend.

Certainly they aren't taking trip drops to attend the Atlanta Block Party

Its Black Smoke, not White.
Quote: I took that differently. I took it as DAL has been right with every other cut, and they are cutting with no indications. Time to dump airlines.

I was actually expecting an aircraft acquisition, other than a bunch of Next Gen CRJ900's. Something to prime the pump. Instead we heard talk like the contract was a foregone conclusion which reduces unit costs and increases productivity.

With a bunch of CRJ900's we will not need to acquire a 100 to 120 seat jet at mainline, or anything of the sort.
Quote: ha ha! good one.

I listene to wsj today and I've got to say there seems to be a lot of uneasiness about Mr Zuckenburger (sp?). They said the GM pull of adds was spiteful in its timing.

I guess from what the said the various holders of others wealth don't want to fork over twice what a company is worth when the CEO walks in with an attitude and a hoodie.
The problem with FB isn't the clothing of the CEO, he could wear a pink fluffy thong if the business plan were solid...

FB is no G00gle, who needs ads if you can get people to voluntarily put up your ads for free?

Quote: Can you put a trigger (and enforce it) in a contract that say that if on January 1st, 2015, a new contract is not reached then something beneficial happens to us, surely a tradeoff with them, but something that would want neither continuing status quo? Or maybe just us continuing status quo?
That's a great idea and I have wondered the same.
The problem is the RLA specifically spells out the current scheme. It would be very difficult to gain something beyond the contract window without extending the contract window itself.

Black smoke would indicate our democratic system is working. That's how it should be.
Quote: More accurately, time to decouple from the Euro!
British Banks were told to do that last year. Yet, trading Euro debt has been profitable for Wall Street and those children just don't learn.

Greece is in an odd spot. It is having a currency collapse, but not its own currency. As money flees the Country it is actually feeding the Euro as money functionally flows from Greece to Germany (and to a lesser extent other currencies). The Euro has to Federalize (in which case I would agree with you) or just cut the laggards loose and risk the political instability in the civilization which invented Democracy and the Forum.

Delta was surprised last year. Turns out the rich and the bankers buy as many airline tickets as they ever did. Maybe even more.

Portugal, Ireland and Spain are where the real pin action is at.

White smoke could be water or oil being burned.

Black smoke is usually the engine running too rich and all the gas isn't being burned.

Oil leak into the radiator and coolant leaks into engine may be related. If a flaw happens between the oil and water chambers then oil will be forced into the water system when the engine is running and the oil pressure is high.

FTB,

Ethanol (the kind in adult beverages) molecule has a polar end and a nonpolar end. So if we add ethanol we probably can get oil and water to mix and burn cleanly.
