I interviewed in Miami the day before and I can say that KYTBRD's assessment is spot on. Not everything comes in that particular order, but all will be completed before you head out. I booked 2 nights in the hotel since the email said I can plan on staying until 1815. I was completed with the interview by 1300 and back in my room by 1330. I would say that everybody was out of there by no later than 1600 for those that plan on jumpseating. There were eleven in our interview group. I had an offer by 1530 that day and a buddy of mine two days later. Everybody in the group was either ACMI or military heavy cargo. Four of us didn't wear ties, including myself. In my opinion, a tie has no bearing on a job offer. This thread was a great source of information.

My timeline is that I applied in Nov. 2011 and again on day one when the window opened again 8/2012. I was contacted by HR on 1/3/2013, online test and interview arranged on 1/4/2013 for 1/16/2013. From the initial phone call until the interview was quick, so be prepared ahead of time. On top of reading your weather book, you might want to knock the dust off your instrument flying handbook and get familiar with that again. I know I wish I did!!

The rumor they were spreading in Miami was 200 new pilots in 2013. The stats I took down were since Jan. 2011 were 142 hired, 410 interviewed, 700 phone screened and 6500 resumes received. They tell you that in the first 15 minutes. Hope this helps.

Congrats again!

...I also did not wear a tie. Start class 1/29. Tie/no tie, they don't care. Someone needs to add these two posts to the megathread "index," in case people are worried about ties.

For those who did not wear a tie, did you wear a suit or business casual etc?

Yep, wore a suit without a tie, basically.

Congrats to nightip and sandbox. Obviously you were part of the immediately available group. Are you both 767 as well? Enjoy.

Thanks...I was part of the "Barely Available" group. I got the offer the night of 1/15 for a 1/29 class, so I wrote my 2-week's notice to my current employer right after I got off the phone with Atlas HR.

Yep, going to the "light twin," but I've been qualified on it for a couple years already, so that's what I was expecting. More than happy to do it, and I got the impression that they were looking for current/qualified 767 pilots for it.
