Huh? We don't have any rule that says you can't talk about guns...

Quote: AK74, built from a kit and converted to 5.56 NATO in the process.
Did you do that for grins or was it too cost prohibitive to just purchase an M85 or other already in 5.56?

Quote: Dammit, that's right, 74. The flash hider is the big give away.
Usually, that's the most obvious. But they do make the flash hider to put on the 7.62 AK/AK variants as well. I don't care for the aesthetics of it, but it's pretty effective at mitigating some of the recoil on a 7.62. I'm gonna try it out on my PSL next week and see how it does. But the (lack of) curvature of the magazine gives it away also.

I have a nice old 91/30 Nagant, but that's the extent of my Russian collection.

Sometimes the stars align in the cost/benefit relationship and 5.56 NATO aks are not exactly thick on the ground. Building your own is like instructing, you learn a lot on the journey.
5.45 is likely to be cut off in the near future, nothing like having a commie rifle in an all American ammunition version.

5.45 was a great deal for a while, but the future of cheap imports is dismal.

Poor Snarge, it must be tough for you.

When you need help in seconds the cops are only an hour away, they do a good job of cataloging the damage though, they will work overtime on finding those stolen Credence tapes.

Agreed on ALL POINTS. I would have REALLY like to have gotten a 5.45 "pistol" had they become available.

Christmas came early at House Gringo.

Guess Santa thought I was a good boy this year. Then again, I'm Santa, so I guess it really didn't matter.

The G19 is my EDC, the .45 is the house gun.

The Tavor with the RDS? That's for hunting wabbits...

Tavor is cool, having a Micro/X95 Tavor would be cooler.
