I have one I bought in 97. I put a Hogue grip on it and have missed the boat the last two years on the Sig deal for cleaning it up and installing night sites.

I shot a real AR-15 recently out of state and loved it. It was my first time shooting any gun. I shot that, and an H&K 9mm which unfortunately went much worse.
But anyways, I recently purchased the NY-legal AR-15 (S&W M&P 15 Sport 5.56). I haven't gotten to shoot it yet. I hear that the grip isn't so bad once you get used to it. 10 round clip is enough for me... I opted for the AR-looking stock but the fixed length is too long. I'm sure it'll be fine, but maybe 1 or 2 clicks in would be most comfy. I wanted a gun for target shooting, and also one for home defense. Even though for defense it may not be the best choice, it's better than nothing I guess. Put a nice flashlight and angled grip on .
Looking to maybe purchase a pistol soon. Not really sure what to get. Nothing too fancy just a reliable 9mm.
My dream gun to get is an H&K G36. Unfortunately no NY legal version of that xD. Someday!
Cheers!

Glad to help, ask anythime.
Also look at his other items.
Robbie Robar has been a long time civilian and .Mil Industry Innovator for years. His gunsmith work and other manufacturing are top notch.
Not only do his finishes look attractive, some finishes also add to the lubricity and add wear protection to friction parts of a firearm.
