I finally got a newly released toy, (as I'm always looking to improve my gear).
This should mate up nicely to my G-5T. I hope to eliminate some of the bolt's velocity w/out affecting muzzle velocities, plus it'll also quiet the mechanical noise generated by the action.

Anyone play with one yet?
Concept looks promising for certain applications.
I need to break this this down to the internals to really get a feel for QC and any weak links.
From what I'm hearing the only two complaints are;
1) The heavy Loaded Weight;
2) The Mechanical Safety is inactivated after 1st shot(due to the trigger mechanism design).
One obvious operating "Nuance" is the resulting POA/POI that a fixed left/right deviation due to the side/by/side bbl configuration.
14+2 isn't shabby

You don't ALWAYS get one because it's the be all-end all one and only go to best in class. You buy it simply because you wanted to....

I prefer the tried and true over the flights of fancy. We all need an assortment of clubs for the course.

The newer versions are very good, years ago they seemed to suffer from weak springs. If your pistol won't run with these it probably has a problem.
For less, the Mec-gars seem to be excellent, they are OEM for a number of Manufacturers and are very high quality in design and function.
There are few things that combine physics, metalurgy, chemistry, and art into a handheld package like a firearm. They may be low tech in some ways and are the most simple form of internal combustion engine, but in other ways they are highly refined examples of design, engineering and production.
The latest whiz-bang digital thing is scrap in three years, the firearm may retain it's value for generations or centuries.

+1 on Mec-gars.
Colt takes the Mec-gar's 9mm SMG Mags and only stamps them with the Colt markings, (I don't know if Mec-gar stamps them for Colt).
Colt then sells them @ double the price (claiming the Mec-gars as their own). You're really stuck, as all the other 9mm SMG Mags aren't anywhere as reliable as a Colt/Mec-gars Magazine.
You couldn't be more spot on regarding on the value of firearms, especially xfer-able MGs, (which can be used as a hedge as solid long term investments).
