If FOs currently on the line will get displaced to DTW to fill the 56 vacancies, what I don't understand is where are the 24 ASA new hires going to go?

There will, as I'm told, be a new vacancy bid during (or ahead of) the start of new hire classes...

Per an email direct from SH, the new hires will be sent to DTW if not enough people volunteer.

Which is what's gonna happen since there are only about 25 something guys with their bid in as of now.

Certainly believe it. However, that really begins to beg the question whether those guys in the crystal palace really plan to have any reductions...

From what I count there are at least 31 bids on the FO side for DTW. I am new to ASA so can someone please explain why when I go to standing bids and click on CRJ FO, there are only like 10 bids I can see?!?!?(none being DTW.) Those 31 I counted are seen when I select CR7 FO. (I'm assuming since its a 70/90 base this is all you can see.) I came from Comair and with their system you could see what each individual pilot was bidding and in what order.

You can only see a few on the CRJ FO bid because it's the junior plane and there aren't a lot of guys that want to go from the 70 to the 50. And you can't see any DTW CRJ FO bids because DTW is a 700 only base. Most of the guys you see on that list are guys that have their bids in to go to IAD. A handful of the others are 70 guys that want to go back to the 50 to hold better schedules being its' the junior airplane.

There just isn't a lot of desire to get to the 50. And if you are on other equipment and want to bid to the ATL CRJ 50, it may be a looooong time before you can since they are doing reductions and there's no telling when there will be an open vacancy to bid over there. Does that help?

Yes. I was looking at it wrong but I get it now. Thanks

Does everyone think this is an accurate count, or is everyone waiting until the last minute?

The FO side most likely. There will be some movement last minute for sure. Now the last 12hrs on the captain side, all bets are off. It will be like musical chairs played to speed metal music as far as people jumping in and out.
