Conversely, if a large number of American journalists suspend their standards in reporting on a particular issue, they can warp the country’s public debates and damage both our policy and our society.

The only people who don't believe there is a gross liberal bias in mainstream media are liberals. And as Jim Rutenberg of the NY Slimes so aptly proved (unwittingly), the NY Slimes has become nothing more than a propaganda rag, and this long ago.
In fact, the NYTs (as well as liberal media in general) has become nothing more than an arm of the current administration's press office.
And everyone knows it.
But let's take that article at face value and agree that the water is rising. That doesn't prove global warming is being caused by man, if it is even happening at all. Not even close. In fact, it's very representative of the left's penchant for this...
Meanwhile, the gross conflict of interest between the fear-mongering warmist's research and public funds continues, just as it did (and does) between Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.
Pay-for-play? No question about it. Unlike global warming THEORY, this is proven fact, as is the NY Slime's gross bias and blatant advocacy. Like liberal media in general, the NYTs abandoned any pretense to objectivity long ago.
