I cant see them giving a bonus to stay. Too many people will take the money. Then break the contract and leave anyway. Leaving the company to either eat the loss or spend more money to get it back. A little more per hour starting year two would increase retention and be competitive with the other regionals. First year pay is re dic but its the same everywhere. Its year two here that opens your eyes...

True...considering some of us are now approaching year 3 FO pay, when we had our eyes set on year 3 CA pay.

The whole thing about the company wanting to meet with the union to discuss ways to improve things is just a delay tactic. It is for this reason that rumors always persist about any given topic. Items are always discussed, but never acted upon. This buys a few months at which time the company calls for a new topic of discussion, but again, nothing will change. If you are new to the airline business, you will recognize this as a positive step. But after a few decades of this, you begin to see nothing is really gained.

If the company truly wishes to address retention issues, they will do what all other non-aviation corporations would do. Find out what industry standard is in all aspects of employee compensation and benefits and move to match those aspects and maybe exceed them thereby creating a new industry standard.

The truth is generally not that deep; which is surprising, because most people have such a hard time seeing it.

Billings wont go away until there is a replacement carrier. That could be months. A bid doesnt make since until there is an end date to BIL.

Anyone care to PM me a rundown of what to expect (somewhat) on the oral for the SF340? Just looking for more opinions than "know everything" concept in the training room...
