Quote: Let me guess.... you have a child in a private school. So what rationale would you have for paying for what free down the road other than.... bashing the public institution.

I can see the mob like qualities of the teachers in our local school system. They beat the students, and each other if you don't play by the rules. One of the dumbest analogies I've read on APC, and I've read some real winners.

Of course teachers brainwash students, teaching all that science and stuff. More un substantiated BS.

We know all public unions are bad (especially teacher unions)
All public employees are lazy, over paid and have way too much time off. Government is the problem. I know because FOX news saids so, and you know they don't lie because they tell you they are "fair and balanced" . Case closed
WRT the public education system, have a look at this study from USC. As for the rest your spittle-filled blather and fifth grade writing skills...I'd suggest that you're quite the poster child. WRT the rest, you're entitled to your own deluded opinions, but not your own facts.

Case closed? Really Judge Judy?

You guys confuse trade unions with international socialism. Easy to do the politicians and union leaders do too. But they are not and do not have to be synonymous.

I love having the chance to wind up one of the more colorful posters on the cargo board. Since I have little to add to the UPS diatribe that usually entertains us lurkers; I'm honored to have been able to have giving you an excuse to point your poison keyboard at someone other than some lowly UPS manager.

Case closed? We'll see.......

Seriously?

You think you have provided an end all reference?

Over the last few years, I have heard from many that you are a problem. From moderators to many of the F/Os you fly with. You can come up with all of the attacks you usually do, but YOU are degrading your cockpit for your entertainment.

I have tried to extend an olive branch to come to understanding, or at least a truce. You and all the people that feed you information need to get it right. You can't "turn again" without ramifications....

To pay lip service to private sector unions while condemning public sector unions is elitist and hypocritical. Although I am not surprised, I know many pilots have such a view. It‘s not surprising as most so-called "pro union" pilots don‘t have a real union mentality. Even though pilot associations are by definition, unions, they don‘t act like it. True unions express and act in solidarity with other trades.

Quote: You know your union has repeatedly tried to talk to "the other party" about positions near and dear to us during presidential elections. ALPA is keenly aware of the political disposition of the average airline pilot. Past candidates for president (from one of the major parties) have either been evasive or outright fail to answer simple questions that relate to our profession.
On the other hand, the "other guys" tell us (related again to issues that are important to our livelihoods, safety or QOL) more of what we would like to hear from elected officials who have as much influence as they do over us highly regulated industry.
...and it's well known that politicians have never said something just to get a vote

It's sad how many people will take a politician's word at face value. Especially during election time. Red...Blue...they don't give a sh-t about us. How many votes do we mean to them? 65,000 or so? They're chasing after larger demographics/money. Quick history lesson: Ted Kennedy (The so-called Liberal Lion) co-authored the deregulation bill that was to be the BIGGEST kick in the nuts this industry has ever seen. But it's OK: He told ALPA he had the best interests of pilots in mind.

The bottom line: Politicians don't give a crap about our pay/benefits.

End Rant

Ah so it is international socialism.

I knew that it wouldn't take long for someone to call it socialism. Pretty soon, it'll be Marxism.

It's especially interesting given your #43 post.
