Quote: One thing the about the SkyWest rates needs to be understood. SkyWest pilots get "historical credit" or better, not block or better. This equals about a 1.5% to 2.5% reduction in our hourly rate to fly the same route as any other regional.

Also the company is pushing hard for our times to start and finish when the wheels start rolling and stop, and I'm sure SAPA will go for it. About a 5% further reduction.

Some perspective of the republic contract.
😂 seriously? What's next...pay starts above 10,000'?

My "new" airline does this for block out. It's amazing how much time it robs from you. Easily 15-20 min a flight.

A buddy told me tis is how SIlver does it, tied into the tamdar GPS units... so they fire up the engines, move a couple hundred feet, then stop and finish the rest of thier stuff. WHether it actually happens I don't know, but this is a BS pay policy.

That looks right and they still have a hiring bonus. It also looks like new hires get free "uniforms" which include a roll-aboard luggageworks bag and an EFB bag?!

If Republic passes this contract would you work for them? Why or why not?

Im a newer hire here despite following the advice of the forum and going elsewhere. I have loved every minute and the new contract rolling out is just an added bonus if it passes. Every single pilot I have ran in to has been super friendly and ready to drop anything they're doing to help me if I have a question or need help. That goes for the same with everybody on the corporate side too. For as many pilots as we have, if I send an email to payroll, crew scheduling, etc. it is usually answered within a few hours. If you call they don't ever get ****ed off or agitated no matter how stupid the question might sound. The EFBs are nice and all the training facilities and instructors were superb.

And from every pilot Ive talked to since the LBFO rolled out, they've said they're going to vote yes if it goes to vote.

Man Mr. MANAGEMENT. you didn't have to lay it on so thick. You should have started smaller so we might have believed you were a pilot. They never answer the phone at HQ when I called. Nobody lifted a finger to help any new hires without a grumble and a sigh. Unless things have dramatically changed for the better there in the last year, I would have to say you are full of it.

You are clueless. Absolutely clueless. Go back to flight instructing because you have no business here.

You are trying too hard! You sound too much like management, so maybe practice and get a new login. I wouldnt waste your time though, because I hear this is getting voted down.

I saw some numbers today in a post about what the bottom feeder in Japan is offering pilots to go there. $102,890 for a 1st year captain and $110,090 for a second year captain (the post mistakenly said 5th year captain).

Looking at the rates in this contract it is $62100 for a first year captain.

Why would you guys consider accepting $40,790 less per year than the other airline is offering?

There are few pilots out there willing to work for a US carrier for what they want to pay. Don't accept less than the 102,890. and 110,090., tell them you have a better offer.

Every airline union needs to show these numbers to their company and tell them that they have to do better than that. It is not speculation, it is the bottom of what is being offered.
