Let's say MG resigns soon. Does anyone at Allegiant think that will change things for the better? Serious question.

Not at ALG, but,

Probably depends why he "resigns". If forced out by the board for running a shoddy airline that mistreats labor and customers alike thereby having less longterm value.... then things might improve.

It he "resigns" because he feels that he has pillaged all he can out of the company and he has a lieutenant ready for his/her time at the trough, then probably no, more of the same.

+1

IMHO the endgame of negotiations with MG-ism at the helm is a lengthy strike/attempt to outlast the union that will serve no one other than management philosophical dogmatic burn down the house hatred of organized labor.

Quote: Is that right? Because it appears that the first step in the process is to determine the need for an evaluation based on the following....you may notice one or two items that might be applicable:

10-8-1-9 PROCEDURES.

A. Determine the Need for an Evaluation (see flowchart process step 10-8-1-9A). If you are the national, regional, or local AFS manager, then steps 10-8-1-9A through 10-8-1-9F apply to you. The following conditions may indicate the need to conduct an evaluation:

· Substantial change in certificate holder management;
· Substantial turnover in personnel or reduction in force (RIF);
· Labor dispute;
· Rapid expansion or growth;
· Merger, takeover, or change in ownership;
· Enforcement actions;
· Noncompliant attitude;
· Accidents/incidents/occurrences;
· Department of Defense (DOD) reviews;
· Department of Transportation (DOT)/Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) economic authority/insurance requirements;
· Change in fleet type;
· Substantial change in outsourcing;
· Financial distress;
· Substantial customer or employee complaints;
· Hotline complaints; and
· Certificate transfer (refer to part 119, § 119.63 regarding the status of operation/dormant certificates).
Yes. That's right, what I said. See the Bloomberg article for confirmation or even get educated on FAA practices. "The FAA conducts this review at all airlines at specific intervals."

Didn't they do this in April after the near-strike?

You are correct that they do this on defined intervals. I believe it is down every five years.

However, I think this is being done after THREE years based on what I have been told.

Didn't the last one result in the training department being shut down for almost six months? Wonder what will happen this time....

Please, PLEASE...somebody please tell me that the press is going to pick up on this. Giving away refunds as a publicity stunt instead of treating passengers with a little respect after MG's scheduling, hiring and operations BS completely screws up their trips, like the MCO debacle on Easter morning...unreal...

LAS VEGAS April 19, 2016 — Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) passengers were treated to a tax season surprise last weekend, as the company provided all passengers on six separate flights with surprise refunds for the airfare portion of their itinerary.

One flight per day April 15-17 was selected to be part of the campaign and three flights were selected on April 18. In total, 907 customers received refunds totaling nearly $140,000. Passengers received the good news during a surprise in-flight announcement as part of Allegiant’s $1 Million Summer, a campaign in which the company is giving away $1 million in airfare through the end of the summer.

“Providing surprise refunds to six flights was an incredible experience that allowed us to personally connect with our loyal customers,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “The initiative was rewarding, not only for the passengers of those flights, but for the company, as well.”

Routes selected to receive refunds include:

1. April 15, 2016: Flight 714 – Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) to Owensboro-Daviess Regional Airport (OWB).
2. April 16, 2016: Flight 1404 – Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) to Punta Gorda Airport (PGD).
3. April 17, 2016: Flight 757 – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB).

5. April 18, 2016: Flight 897 – Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE).
